Well it is inevitable, obvious, twee and oh so passé, but the subject of Easter & eggs must raise its head.
Even in my maturing years I still yearn for a Cadburys "Buttons" egg (ah chocolate filled with more chocolate, oh how my face lit up) seems only my kids get them now sad
So what’s your favourite??
i am less fussy about my chocolate than i am about my men.... so any will do for me!
confused
hint hint, all eggs gratefully recieved!
wink

WBB, but surely not Milky Bar chocolate???? the weirdest , horriblist substance known to mankind (or womankind) wink
Mines Caburys Cream Egg.
I love licking the centers out, before devouring the shell in one go biggrin
Theres one sitting in the fridge just now. I promised not to touch it and then this tread gets posts - Oh temptation is so sweet.... mmmmmm.
On Easter monday in 1985, after 17 hours of grueling labour, I presented another fine and healthy son to the world.
Jon rushed down to the hospital shop and bought me a large Quality Street easter egg. He dashed back up to the labour room and handed it to me as pleased as punch with himself!
At any other time I would have been pleased with such a grand display of confectionary, all covered in foil in the prettiest shades of pink and lilac.
But the sight of the elegant ladies on the box, all dressed in their finery, made me accutely aware of what a mess I must have been looking at that precise moment, and I promptly burst into tears
Never mind. Our twin sons who were 3 years old, happily cast aside their own milky bar buttons eggs in favour of the enjoyment of sharing a 'proper grown up' easter egg lol
Strangely enough after this little episode, Jon has not bought me an easter egg since. Wonder why?! wink

Well Congrat Redhot for the forthcoming anniversary smile

It's his birthday today actually so thanks on his behalf!
No doubt he'll have a few beers tonight in celebration, but I'm going to treat myself to one of those small Cadbury's Caramel cream eggs and enjoy every lick.
I know it's not elegant, nor covered in pretty foil but it will taste better than QS anyway. Just sad I have to buy my own lol

Mind you, I guess a giant sized Creme egg would be a little too much biggrin and anyway QS always seems to have too many of the yukky strawberry and orange chocs confused
MMMMMMMMMMM Cadbury`s creame eggs,i bit the top off and practice my technique on them to see how much of the filling i can get out.
I did see an a Disney egg the other day complete with toy,It was a lovely cuddly "Tigger",i thought of my fellow chatroom op ^JoJo^ or ^Tigger^,shame the choccy would have gone off by the next time i see her.

When I used to go to my nans we used to make our own easter eggs. Take the tip off an egg and empty the shell. Mix melted chocolate with sweets either smarties or something tiny and fill the empty egg shell. Put in the fridge and allow to go really hard. I loved making them as a kid and they took ages to eat. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm memories eh x
