I've only attended one and that was the inaugural SW munch earlier this 't know anybody and only had Marcuso's number to rely on!
Arrived early at the meet,Marcuso was running late with some of the others and there was a bit of a mix-up with the meet being upstairs in the pub and I was downstairs on my own,nervously checking the other patrons out without trying to be obvious and completely unsure of myself.I thought sod this I'll get a beer and I'll bugger off if nothing happens.
Luckily enough,Marcuso breezed in as care-free as you like,and I ended up having a really good a lot of really good people and can't wait for the next one in approximately 22 days,22 hours and 28 minutes!!

We've not gotten to a single thing so far. If we're considered well-known by lucyweebaps before next month, we'll go along to the Scottish Munch. If not we'll await the next one. It will still be a bit nerve-racking since we won't really know anyone, and neither me nor the missus drink much, so just getting pissed is not really an option. Although I could, but she wouldn't be too chuffed, methinks.
Anyone else going to the Scottish Munch as their first time?

i did the whole thing the irish way, and did the house party before the munch. so it wasn't so bad. my first munch was the NW one in august last year. and so i already knew a few faces.
it was a great evening. and got to meet even more new faces, and make loads of great new freinds.
even walked passed that guy that owned the corner shop in corrie, on the way there. ... having to walk cause the mini bus never turned up! lol..

well first munch I went to organised by Dawn and Ian Mids - Ian told me off before I went ( for not reading thread lol) and at munch I found myself staring at Dawns breast :shock: :shock: :shock: I was also made to wear some device as I was told that all new women had too :shock: :shock: I believed of all people Mrs FC - she just looked so in charge!!!!!!! I stood on the same spot most of the night petrified drinking red wine smiling at everyone like at cheshire cat ( actually I looked mad lol). I met Misschief, Bernie fem, Steveg, Dawn and Ian, Tongue, Mr and Mrs FC and it was totally brilliant!!!!!!!!!!

i was asked by a lovely lady who i had met a short time before and knew lots of people from SH.....
scenario 1 .......i was very quiet and modest.......spoke fleetingly to other attendees......sat in a corner drinking a small vodka tonic all night nodding politely at passers by......
scenario 2......i burst into my first munch somewhat akin to a cowboy film with all guns blazing.......met lots of really great people from SH who were out for a real good time and who were catching up with old friends and making new 1s......i had a real scream and crawled into my hotel room at about 4am after the club.......
still talk regularly to a lot of people i met and am looking forward to meeting them again......well.......not bothered about happy cats and postie.......1 sleeps in a camper van......the other is a postman :D :D :D :D
ps love them really....not in a physical sense of the word though
