Not reallly sure how it comes across on here confused But in person I'm quite dry so I'll have to go for Jack Dee smile

maybe in person....but it certainly doesn't show on here! wink
Oh there's so much I like, think my absolute fave stuff in the whole wide world has got to be Eddie Izzards early material - His take on life, along with his voice and weird impressions just have me in hysterics, not just then, but years on, even now, things will spring to mind and have me creased up all over again (like now rotflmao )..........
There's so much else I love
Lee Evans
Billy Connolly
Monty Python
David Brent
The first couple of 'South Parks'
Pheonix Nights
Davej
But Eddie Izzard, to me, is the ultimate worship
I don't 'get' Phoenix Nights' at all  but Peter Kaye stand up is brilliant.
Bill Bailey - especially early years in Rubber Bishops
Billy Connolly
Dara O'Briain - saw him in March - just fantastic
Eddie Izzard
Oooh.. can I add more later after a glass of wine?
:P
I would have to be Jo Brand, because I have the same sharp sense of humour and can usually make a witty comeback. I am also quite prepared to make myself look silly to get a laugh confused lol

I'm the same....if you can't take the piss out of yourself you shouldn't take the piss out of others thats my philosophy!

My favourite known comic is Jackie Mason, but I havn't seen any on stage for the last few years and I wouldn't take television performances as any kinda bench mark, it just isn't as good.
Eddie, without a doubt, been to see him many times and each time he's been face achingly funny. Paul Murton is a very clever, funny guy, very quick witted. Jack Dee, love his demure dry humour. Billy, just 'cos he's Billy.

It has to be Peter Kay, Jethro or Alan Davies for me.

Eddie Izzard is so understated and gets under yer skin in the most exquisite way!
Good observationalists like Billy Connolly do it for me too.
Also ^^^^^^^^ wink No-one like that girl when she gets going!!
There isn't anyone quite as angry as Dennis Leary. Or funny....
Missy,
Apparently, it's the future so who am I to complain. But
How Dare You
Not wanting to sound pedantic here, but are we not getting off topic here slightly.
The original question surely was not what your favorite comedian/enne is, but who are you most like?
For me, i am not like anyone ................
oh ok - well possibly, just sometimes, there is a small amount of Robin Williams in me (not literally I might add)

Oh dear confused well that's not nearly as groovy :?
Closest match to me, hmmmmmmm :undecided:
Sue Pollard :undecided: dunno
i love Billy Connolly but i also like jasper Carrot and Lenny Henry, his stand up stuff's best
After much thought... I'd like to think I am a bit like Paul Merton. In that I like to play with words, situations and pick up on what others say. I , of course think I am screamngly funny.
The comedian that made me laugh the most .... Tommy Cooper.
Paul

A cross between Jack Dee and Jimmy Carr with a hint of Eddie Murphy and Lilly Savage - I think that sums it up pretty well.
Thank god this thread has got to a respectable two pages..... lol
Why, do you get paid by the column inch?

I don't normally start threads....i would just hate to see one dissappear as quickly as it started! confused
