its not a bad venue by any means, but recent reports suggest the ratio of single guys is a little too high.
We think the owner has taken this on board and is going to make the numbers a bit more level but only one way to find out.
Ad Fabs is a very good club.
Atmosphere wise they layout does quite work as well as it should,
but facilities wise, easily the best in London.
Actually no,
There are six couples on our review team, and we have all been there.
And we all pretty much said the same thing. 4 couples gave it one star out of 5, we were a little more generous, the highgest it got were three.
So the review is an editorial of all the opinions expressed combined. And we do prefix all the reviews with exactly that point, they are just our teams opinion.
But personally, I dont expect to go to a club and have my partner propositioned by a hooker recruitment team on premises!
Hi Indulgence,
Can you please have the owners contact us so we can include the club in our book, as we goto print in 5 weeks. Thanks
Alex - Sex in the Cities UK, The adult guide to clubbing
When Colin and Gina were running it, they use to average around 20 couples on a thursday, and their free photography nights for members, were incredibly busy.
How they are faring now is hard to say.
We wish someone would come in and offer to buy the venue off the owner because it needs proper management full time, a total re-advertising and marketing campaign to keep it up there with the best.
The club is open as normal.
Theres always a couple of T Girls there, so I would assume yes.
Extra equipment etc is brought in for the ocasion. They've been having a pretty good turn out to the last couple of parties. The venue isn't the best, but its ideal for a fetish event and the people there are pretty friendly. Its hosted by a couple called Paul and Ali who are two of the nicest people you ever could meet.

But on the bright side, they do stay hard for a week......
Reports on the Swinging Grape Vine are very favourable for this club indeed.
No, there are no permanent clubs in Cornwall at all.

Club Review: Previously an old naturist venue this club has three Jacuzzi’s, two steam and sauna rooms, showers, plunge pool, lounge area, free soft drinks and towels, plus a smokers covered garden, and a small selection of play rooms with foam mattresses. Upstairs is an area for couples only and there is a larger group room on the top level which has not always been open on our visits. Rios advertises itself as a spa in a North London high street, so not be aware not everyone goes there to swing occasional casual visitors do wander in not realising who its main client base are. Saturday night is a dedicated night for swinging couples from 7pm until Midnight but at it is like the start of the Grand National as a plague of single men gallop into the venue. We have visited Rios on numerous occasions over the years, and while parts of the club have seen refurbishment recently, it is still not a venue without its problems. Mostly these are caused by single men who simply don’t know how to behave and the failure by staff to address this issue. My partner has been practically molested on one occasion when we were trying to leave and you can’t go into a Jacuzzi without several single male masturbators suddenly arriving in close proximity to any female visitors. For us, this is not what The Scene is about and for someone new it could be incredibly off putting. Saturdays can be fun and have a good atmosphere, but similarly many of the couples do not stay or play together and are many women simply act as tickets to get single men through the door. It can be a nice place to use the facilities, but for a nervous first time couple or single female who wants to dip their toe in the Scene, there are places where you will feel much more comfortable. But if you’re old hands at the Scene and can handle yourselves around pushy company, this venue which is almost open 24hours with its central location, can be a good place to unwind or get a great deal of attention single guys who only be too happy to show you their wares.
This review, by the way, was Amazingly kind, I left out the bit out being propostioned by prostitutes and my partner actually being approached to be recruited as one, she was also practically assaulted by a guy as we were trying to go home. This place might not advertise itself overtly as a swinging club, but it is one, and doesnt pretend otherwise. Simply the behaviour here has been the worst from the single men, in any club we've ever been to, and we've been to over 50 venues. We went here several times, why may you ask, because its 5 minutes from where I live, and each time we hoped it would get better. The last visit was the only one where we haven't had any hassle. The staff are well aware of what goes on here. This club is basically the last refuge of the desperate.

Both are good clubs, well run and friendly.
So take your pick!
Getting the last of my things from my parents flat.
A sense of closure, not so much a smile, but relief.
Come and swing with the Finkles!
I had a couple of friends who worked on this, I am sure it will be good fun. As a depiction of the Scene, who knows, but I dare say it will ring one or two familiar bells for some.
They made this short film first to secure the funding, watch it, its great fun.

I think that the honour of best club in Europe will always goto Fun4two, but I have a feeling it wont be long before this is the best club in the UK.
People will probably know that we go out of our way to do (very detailed) fair and unbiased reviews of clubs on the web, which led to the clubbing guide book.
To quote an excert from it, this is our criteria when reviewing a venue and it accurately summarises my thoughts on the previous exchange on this topic.
'You will find that some swinging web sites also have sections where you can find club lists and reviews of the venues submitted by members of that site. While most sites will have a fairly decent list of clubs very few of them are as comprehensive or as detailed as the one you will find in this book.
Any review (Including dare we say it, the ones in this book) should be treated with caution, along with the reasons we have already stipulated above the Adult Club market is now fiercely competitive and reviews on the net can be highly influential on a potential customers choice of which venue to visit. As a consequence a critical review of a club on the net will often be followed by a tirade of posts from loyal customers defending it, this is equally reflected when a club gets an excellent review only to then be followed by another tarring its reputation. Such damning comments and vaunted praise must be treated with scepticism by any reader as there are plenty of people in this business with an axe to grind and not everyone is as scrupulous as the next when it comes to false advertising and business practice. Club reviews can have a direct impact on the business itself, in either a positive or negative way, depending on the content of the review. One must also remember that different people want different things from their club experience. Reviews criticising a club for ‘Too many people standing around…’ or ‘There was not enough action…’ could equally be interpreted as the reviewer didn’t have any success meeting anyone on that occasion and therefore their frustration has manifested itself in their review of the club. People standing around could equally mean that they were new to the scene, nervous and therefore hesitant about joining in, or they could be more interested in watching than taking part, such is their prerogative. The intimate nature of the scene also means that friendships can be as easily broken as they are formed and will occasionally result in people falling out or having differences of opinion. The owners of a club are as vulnerable to fickle loyalty as anyone else on the scene and they can often be on the receiving end of verbal abuse both on the internet forums and club reviews, much of which is often unwarranted. Such is the nature of the world we live in and this was one of the pretexts for writing this book, to give as open, informative, honest and fair reviews of clubs as possible.'
'We must prefix our ratings guide to clubs with the caveat that these are based purely on the reviewer’s opinion and experiences of that club on that particular visit. If we have been to the club more than once, we will say so. If there are many conflicting opinions on a club, we will state that also. All clubs will have off nights just as any entertainment venue does. Also a club is only as good as the people who visit it, and sometimes clubs can be quiet one weekend and extremely busy the next. On one night the mixture of people can be just right, the atmosphere great and consequently the mood hits the mark for a great night out, on another night it can be exactly the opposite. A club can never be totally certain who is going to attend on any given evening or if those attending will be either the type of people you are looking to meet or indeed if you are the kind of people they are hoping to see there. However the maintenance of the club, the attitude and appearance of those who run it and the facilities they have to offer will all contribute towards the atmosphere in either a positive or a negative way. It is also worth stating that what we enjoy from a club on the scene maybe different from your own requirements. We like to dance, so good music and a dance space of some kind is important to us, as is the fact that we hope we will not be the only people dancing that night! We also like either a Jacuzzi or a pool to cool down in at some point, so wet facilities are also a welcome bonus for us. However most important is that the club is kept clean and run by friendly and helpful staff. A low rating will normally have been the result of any one of the following: Rude behaviour (On behalf of the staff, not the patrons) obvious presence of single men on a couples night and failings by staff to address any poor behaviour on the part of any patrons, poor maintenance of facilities, poor hygiene in areas such as toilets and so on, failure by the owners to enforce the rules of the club and false advertising. Again we stress these reviews would be based on the experience on that particular night; others of course, will feel differently. Despite having some personal preferences of our own, we have tried to review the clubs with as much impartiality as possible, stating quite clearly what the club has to offer its patrons and how much it will cost you to go there. To this end, we have asked several friends to also provide reviews on the clubs they have visited as well as comment further on some of our own reviews to give a differing opinion.'
Closed in what sense?
Do you mean when its not running its swinging events?
Ourplace4fun and Arousals but both are a good drive south of you.
There is no doubt that the clubs have been hit hard by the recession,
When we first started work on the book two years, compared to when I up dated the book recently before it finally goes to print, no less than twenty venues in the UK had closed and it all needed updating. The same goes across the rest of Europe.
However the clubs that reinvest, care about their customers and listen to their comments are clearly the most sucessful.
When Liberty Elite first opened under the name Liberations, the previous owners didnt have a club what worked in the UK and the club very nearly died. The new owners, Colin and Gina quickly rebranded the club, and also within six months reinvested money into the venue, enlarged the dance floor and added more play rooms and they targeted a certain kind of group. They are not the only club to do this, Chams also had a major refurb, and even though the two clubs are very different and attract different crowds, several people enjoy them both for different reasons. This is one of the reasons that in our top 5 clubs in the UK, Liberty is number one and Chameleons is number 2.
Despite the economic down turn, a number of new clubs have opened in the last two years, but as the markert now is so fiercly competitive, everyone has to up their game and no one can afford to let their standards drop. La Chambre had some major issues on our last visit and now, very wisely they have made some changes which have seen their numbers come back up. Reinvestment is key, at the end of the day, a club is only as good as the people that attend it. And you have to know what those people want and make sure you give it to them. You will know when the book is out because there will be banners for it all over this site.
