Yes, I only been there once or twice, it is a bit daunting, and I was one of the "single" males talked about! It is a bit strange being so open and dark, but once used to it it can be fun.
Another place I seem to have luck is down the shortcut between the A565 and the Bluebell pub near Halsall, there is sometimes activity down there, I know, I was caught in action there with my wife a few years back by a farmer in his land rover.... Funny, I can't seem to persuade her to fuck me outdoors after that incident >
