Tagging is pointless and needless vandalism, but when you talk about Banksy, that is art.
His work is controversial and provocative. One of my favourite’s of his pieces is when he painted a huge picture of paradise on the walls of the West Bank and another is of a rioter throwing a bunch of flowers.
I was lucky enough to see his exhibition under Waterloo Station back in May which was a half mile tunnel at Leake Street with sculptures as well (the wall art is supposed to be there for another six months)
So no to graffiti and yes to urban art!
Now im not one to gripe, but our Tesco, the biggest of all them around is a nightmare.
Being a bloke im drawn into the big telly's like a moth to a flame at night. What ever posesses you to this I do not know...but who want's to purchase a TV at 3 in the morning the size of a billboard on Picadilly Circus. Why is it that the first thing you see when you walk through the door is beer on special offer, and the last of the vast isle's is beer again.
Meanwhile you have what we call "No go zone's" the isle's that are set up for foods with lables you can not read, pictures that you only see in a first edition of a Lonely Planet guide to the edge of the civilisation.
So all in all, book your two weeks holiday to stay at a local Tesco, apply the sun cream from isle 3128 after avaoiding the wet spill in lane 1277, sit back on a Tesco value deck chair in front of one of your 46 flat screen TVs and crack open a carling, only for 24.
Remember your club card points and "Every little Helps"
We managed to get Marmite wafer busicuits last xmas, and these are delicis with Davidstowe Cheddar.
Anything made of the brown liquid gold is all good!
By the way who thought of spreading it on toast all those years ago?
Get your CV onto sites like monster, go and see people such as Reed, Manpower with your CV and tell them what your looking for, remember they get paid when you go for interviews and get a job via them so they want to find you work.
If your looking to stay in sales/retail try the grocer jobs, michael page, total jobs and local jobs (google for the web details.) Have your CV on public for monster etc. so recruiters can find you and people will start calling you about jobs. Plus you can sign up to email job alerts letting a lot of hard work being done for you.
And best of all good luck xx
Well it is something you have to take seriously. I myself am currently have depression, but I'm pleased to say that my suffering stage has lifted. And why, because of the pill's(i'm on Citalopram) and counselling.
Being able to tell people your depressed is the hardest. I found telling strangers and people you just met where the first people I told before close friends but I still have not told my family, although my g/f has supported me since Novemeber.
For me I also had stress two years ago at work, and stayed in my job until December 07, but now I'm on a 6 month career break to sort myself out.
I had a sneeky suspicion that it was my job that was killing me. So other than the pills and counselling, taking time off work was a massive release, and in the first weeks I was sleeping for 12-14 hours a night, catching up on 14 years of constant early starts. I realised I wanted to do a little travelling and I would recommend (after asking your doctor if they think your safe to do so) a little bit. I went for 4 weeks from Iceland to Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. When I got back things had changed, no more anxiety, and I had re-discovered my former self.
As a result, I'm now looking for a new job and only taking one that suits me, going to the Doctor's today to start coming off the pills and I have only one real side effect from my medication, which is in bed where I have gone from a two minute wonder to marathon man.
So having depression for me was just an opportunity to push the reset button, it just depends after that how long it takes to re-boot to an old programme that worked.
Hey does anyone else here love this game or what?
And be honest...... how many times have you dressed in your "special outfits" to look like a rock whore, or even just played naked?
