On reflection Cubes, I'm sure you're right. While writing, can I just give a huge thanks to everyone involved in SH for giving me such pleasure over many years - Thank you one and all and have a relatively happy and safe Christmas and New Year - and good riddance to 2020 !

Well aren't you the lucky one Gillian. There are dozens if not hundreds of us who are unable to access the chat rooms properly. Same old story........chat room page opens but no one there. Have checked and rechecked since last thursday, done everything that's been suggested/reccommended and still to no avail. :cry:

Thanks wakeycouple for sharing your convo with aol. I now much regret having signed on for another 18 months with aol ( carphone warehouse ). I guess we just have to be patient and hope some geek sorts it out soon. Meanwhile, I'm suffering serious withdrawal symptoms, but at least the blisters on the palms of me hands are healing ! lol

AOL have just put an automated message on their help line stating they have problems with some web sites etc ONLY TOOK THEM 48hrs to admit they have a fault
Thanks for that woohoo........hopefully the probs will be sorted soon. I'd just like to say a big thankyou to admin for doing everything they can to sort it from SH's side.

Tried everything I could think of .....even reinstalling aol as you have and still no joy. Really strange because all the other sites I visit are running perfectly, and all other sections of SH are fine.....only the chat room fails. The chat room page appears but no one in ! I hope admin can come up with an answer.

AOL -
1. On the Settings menu on the AOL toolbar, click Preferences.
2. In the Organization section of the Preferences window, click Internet properties (WWW).
3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files.
4. Click OK.
Thanks for trying Admin........done all that and still just a blank page. It looks like AOL is the cause. Any suggestions would be welcome. Missing you all !
