to all the comments being made, when i read the reply to me i did read it as i thought it was wrote...
lawr explained the reasons explained why he posted the reply to me... and probably on both parts it was miss communicated... which i have accepted. and sorry if i did cause offecne to anyone.
now.. i didn't post my reply to start a debate. or to great an angry mod style thread and i for one would hate if, if it was me that put a black cloud over this socail so if we could draw a line under it here. as anyone who is thinking of attending this socail now reads the thread, they may think twice.. and i for one don't want to be the cause of people thinking like that.
anyway... for those that do attend the socail, i hope you all have a good night.

Oooh, been to Manchester (lots) and that's about 40 miles. Also North Wales and Warrington, which are a bit nearer. Then Leeds is further; ditto Preston, Chorley and Bolton. Also travelled down to Milton Keynes for one meet.
Not being a driver, if the place is on a decent trainline then I'll get there. Nowhere is hugely far really is it?
In fact, I prefer to travel a fair bit as I'm not overly keen on local meets for discretion purposes.
There's only been once that I was disappointed after travelling and paying for a hotel and the person let me down. The rest of the time I actually think that getting out and about adds to the 'adventure' aspect of the meet.
(Maybe I just need a holiday!)

i have to agree with you on this one.. i love getting out and going new places. and if its an excuse to meet someone then great...
distance has never been an issue for me... i'd be more than happy to travel anywhere for the right person(s). back in my early days i more weekend away from birmingham, then actually in it. the world is too small, and there are too many great people out there to pass them by because of the distance..... fair enought all my traveling is done by trains so i tend to fall asleep and wake up at my destination.... and touch wood... only missed my stop once!.

the reason WHY i put my name down was because i have been to many of the SH socails at chams, and they have always been a good evening. as i find its nice to go and get to know new people from the site. i am rather offended though that you have commented that you are suprised i would want to go.. just by looking at my Pics, if you was to read my profile it does clearly stat that i enjoy the SOCIAL side of the scene.
and on that note, i think i'll give that night a miss..

Nola i couldn't of said it any better.
for me personally. over the last few weeks, there as been a lot of "serious" threads.. ones about every day life.. i come onto SH to escape that part of my life, so you'll notice i dont post much on the serious political threads. but there are people that prefer them, so each to there own.
for me SH is about having fun, enjoying the time while your logged in, and the random moments where you think of something daft you saw the night before. a lot of the old threads that have come up capture that humor. and its great to see a lot of great threads again, ones that i giggled endlessly at before, and ones i can do laugh at again.
plus ive found that by digging up some of the not so serious threads, its lightened up the place a little, and a whole load of new funny threads have appeared.
anyway.. i'll eny my waffle.

my ultimate thing on my to do list, and would love to cross it off before i' 30 is to have sex on a train... i dont mean in the loos.. either maybe a trip on the caladonian sleeper from london to scotland, or maybe on a deserted first class carriage late at night on one of the intercity Trains.
a MFF would be cool. but struggle to find one daft woman to join me. let along 2! lol.
i would love to be part of a DP thinky.. but not me in the middle mind! lol.
err... is there anything else... maybe one more. i wouldn't mind doing a 24hr oralathon...

i was sitting at work this afternoon, and thought about this thread and was trying my hardest to think of the site i found my profile on and couldn't think. so i typed my what was then user name into google. and didnt find 1, but 4 sites with the same profile, which i had when i first started SH... i knew it was mine because it was littered with spelling errors! :-).
i do wonder if my profile for the 4 counterparts worked for them, as i only got the one reply from my ad on here back then.. and was my luck for it to be a gay bloke!.

talking of wrapping presents.....
one little bit of advice... when cutting up the wrapping paper place sheet on a nice hard surface... dont do what i did and place it on my duvet cover!!..
cutting through the sheet, now being left handed i normally struggle with scissors, so as i was making a hash of the paper i also didnt realise i was creating a nice hole in the duvet. i just thought i was struggling, but it may of been the case i was cutting through fabric! lol.
so if anyone see santa in town, could you ask him for a nice new quilt cover for me!

my father never paid for these trips.. as there swas 4 of us.. it would be a lot of money over the years we were at school..
i think the huge cost comes from all the insurance that the school now has to fork out, to cover they selves from any liable action.
for me there are a load of placed in the UK that are educational enough, we have got a vast array of, Castles, roman ruins, Eco parks, scinece museums, Art Galleries, parks, nature reserves, bridges, caves Etc Etc Etc..... so why the need to jet set off to europue... except for the teacher to get an ALL expenses paid trip.
