We are listening. When we did a survey of all the reviews we could find on the club, on all web sites, the sofa's were never mentioned once. What was mentioned lots, was the lack of private rooms, which we quickly addressed. Now, having put rooms in, we're hearing the comment, we preffered the big open space and sofa's, lol. You lot are so hard to please :boxing:
The top lounge area is still there, and still popular for play, so we're monitoring things currently. Best bet is to get yourselves down, have a look, and give us feedback, however we can only do one thing or another.
Examples:
Its too bright, Its too dark.
Want club tunes, want 70's rock.
Too hot, too cold.
Too many singles, too few guys.
Anyone want a PR job??
from what i say last friday night, i have got to say you have done a hell of a lot to the place.. the area down stairs that reminded me of an old working mans club is a lot better with private rooms (well sort of private, if you ignore the people walking with a crick in there neck lol)..
I'm looking forward to returning to see more changes. and hope the place can keep bringing people back.

Could be worth limiting the number of single guys on a Sunday (even as an experiment allow only pre-booked guys)
Sundays is open to all. We aim to use it longer term as a way of meeting, and verifying singles as suitable for the club, like an informal interview. Allowing all to attend without membership, to get a feel for the club, and for us to get a .....nope, re-phrase, and for us to establish they'll fit in with what we're trying to do.
Also need to do things gradually as wet area is involved, and we need to get that right!
Pre-booking might be an idea, but doesn't realy help us if the wrong folks pre-book.

please can you clarify the above?
are you talking, making sure people have the correct manners, and decorum when it comes to a swinging club.. or does this mean if you dont fit a certain look, you will not get membership?
i have noticed the difference in Chams over the last few years... when i first joined many years ago, every other face was someone who had travelled from afar to come and visit the club.. but now. most people are local to the club. so i guess this could be down to the cost of travelling making an impact on the clubs.
it would be curious to know how the NEW YEAR bashes went at both Xtasia and Chams... both in previous years, its been that full, its standing room only.

Well if you fancy the role... your more than welcome... i made an attempt last night... 2 bits of tinsel... just the baubles, frilly bits and what else is needed to go on.
i finally got round to buying a tree this year, as the last two years, i've not bothered, took it out of the box.. spent an hour arranging all the branches so they dont look crap, and got board... so i have got a almost plain tree just standing in the corner.. i will get around to decorating properly it at some point.
