a went to see Enemy just before xmas.. and gotta say it was one of the worst bands i have heard.... i'd never really heard about them, but a friend was raving about them and asked me to go along, so i did...
time before that was the Prodigy in Brum... superb evening.. my ears were banging when i left and i was buzzing for hours after.

as some of you may know when a room is cleared you are meant to say "boo" as quick as possible... well as this has taken off so well i thought i would open a specail "boo game" room.
object of the game is to be the quickest to say BOO when the chat is cleared.

I have got a lot of things running through my head that i really need to get done this year. most of them are the same things i have been saying for the last 2 or 3 years
a few of the things are..
>> Finish of learning to drive. via a 15 hour crash course
>> Organise a Socail / Munch in August to celebrate my 30th Birthday
>> rejoin te gym and get my waist line back down to a size 30. (currently 36ish)
>> visit my mother more than 3 times this year.

A day doesn’t go by with out me doing at least one thing stupid.
But my most recent one, must of been re-locating a Cardboard compactor from inside our warehouse, to outside.
We were going through a large refit in our warehouse... relocating racking, and installing a new lab. So this Compactor was in the way and needed to be moved outside the warehouse... I got a quote in for a crane which would lift the item and transport it out of the building. The quote came back at about £800. so I thought there must be a cheaper option out there. I scoured the internet and found a website where you could hire heavy duty Skates (wheels you place under the unit)., which cost about £80. after reading the description of the item, My brain when into gear and thought... all we need to do, is lift up the compactor with the fork lift, drop these underneath then tow it out with the fork lift truck...
Easy peasy!.. Or so i thought.
Next day, guy dropped off the equipment. So between me and a few lads from the warehouse we proceeded to give it a try.
Fork lift max weight = 1.5 tonne... Compactor = between 3 and 4 tonnes. So the Fork lift wasn’t could not lift it up. glanced over to the other side of the warehouse and spotted the other fork lift truck…..Again my brain went into gear and thought 2 fork lift would solve it….... after about an hour of fumbling around and half destroying the Goods lift which was next to it. We got the skates underneath.
Next we attached the tow rope to both the Compactor and fork lift proceeded to pull it out... all was going swimmingly until we got to the back door
With all this I forgot one simple thing. There is a slight downward slope as you leave the warehouse. Just to give you the right picture in your head.. think what would happen to a 3 tonne,12ft high shopping trolley being pushed down a slope. Well this compactor acted in the very same way, and decided to go on its own route and went to over take the driver in the forklift, it got half way to doing so before toppling over... with me standing right behind it... not sure what i was thinking at the time. But my first reaction was to lift my arms to support the weight... this idea lasted all of a second before jumping out of the way. Before it crashed to the ground.
We now have a large compactor lying face up on the floor…. Only way to get it back to its correct position …… contact the company that gave us a quote to hire the crane to come out and lift it up.
Looking back, on it... i suppose I’m glad it fell my way, as i could move... if it had gone the opposite direction it would of landed on the forklift.. Probably killing the guy driving it.
You wouldn’t think i was in charge of health and safer would ya!

was at the cov socail at the weekend and noticed that the majority of the cars in the hotel car park were a Ford focus.. .so got me thinking... maybe this is the car us fellow swingers go for..

with the current layout.. changing of the colour schemes of your profile is limited to those users what pay for the extra's pack.. will this new theme facility be open to all, or still be part of the extra's pack?
aslo.. going forward after the new site goes live.. what features will there be that is exclusive to users with the extras package?

and really as one that has expereince how hard it is to keep up with the 20 males a day.. and for them to go up even though your reading them, i should sit back and not send you one............ but.......... :twisted: there would be no fun in that.

Just like to thank dean for organising a great weekend.. was kinda worried when we first set out, as it was pouring down with rain, but shortly after arriving it cleared, up and the sun shone through.
sorry to everyone for exposing my rather "whiter than white" legs.... a little bit gutted that they have still daz's finest!
Guessing everyone had a great time, and got back home saftely

first time ever in my life i thought i was being organised, and booked my room while it was 29 quid as well. not sure how easy it is to transfer them, but it been fully paid for, so if anyone would like to make use of it, please contact me via PM.

i'm one of the werid ones that thrives on stress.. if i'm not running around at work in a blind panic i think there is something up.. but then again i tend to be a stressed eric most of my days..
this is probably not the right way of taclking it.. but i tend to find taking on other peoples stressed life a way of forgeting mine for a little bit.. always one to listen to others issues, and always good if i can resolve them.

the sitting in the back garden with the sun at its hottest (well hotest for birmingham anyway). then saying "i'll only sit out for 10 mins.. dont need the sun tan lotion".. then 90 mins later waking up with a slightly red chest.. then as the evening progresses that chest goes through that transition from Mildly red.. to lobster red. and no matter how red it gets you still fore go the Aftersun, thinking it wont hurt that much.....
