Hi dave,
unfortunately work has veered its ugly head and i have to work on friday and the mrs on the weekend so we are unable to make it, we have tried sorting it but to no avail. Nature of the beast as u well know.....

Can you put us down for both nights at the moment but will have to confirm nearer the time, sure u understand why......
*** NOTE to anyone that hasnt attended before, this was our first event for us and we were made to feel very welcomed and there was no pressure. I would recommend to anyone thats thinking of going on their first event.*** (As for dave, he is a great host).

As a biker, it gets my back up when just because of a few lunatics we get marked with the same brush, yes there are a fews bikers who dont think of what they are doing, just as there are car drivers who drive to fast in the wrong places.
When the weather is nice, of course you will see an increase of bikers out, as that is when the roads are safer. Car drivers often think just cos a biker has overtaken them, that we are in the wrong.....
having done an advance test, i can honestly say a lot of car driving drive round thinking that they own the road, and are easyly distracted by the stereo, sat nav, kids, cigarettes, food, you name it... they do not see all the hazards or the passing opportunities. yes riding bikes is a danderous hobby but one that bike riders undertake knowing that getting it wrong spells bad news..
I personally feel that everyone should have to do a bike test before a car test, only then will you get drivers who see both sides of the coin and yes before you say, i have passed both...
many people say that biking is dangerous, some want it banned, but look at the stats, most accidents are caused by car drivers not being aware of how fast (and i mean legal speed) a bike can appear, it has been scientifically proven that its hard to judge the speed. if you dont believe me, go to a train station and watch a fast train approach and go past the platform....
not all bikers are lunatics....

For starters you need to look at the actual offences committed.
Train robbery,
no one was actually killed in the Robbery, the train driver Jack mill was hit over the head with a iron bar in the struggle, and 7 years later died of luekemia, his family said he never fully recovered from the attack, but could u really pin it on the robbery?
No guns were used in the Robbery.
so for the offences: Robbery, ABH, possibly GBH, There are drink drivers, people convicted of death by dangerous driving etc.
That get lesser sentences then ronnie has...
As for the Banker...
Yes he has been cunning and made money at the cost to the tax payer, but can you convict him on it?, would people not do the same given the chance, just look at every chief exec. that has taken bonuses and fat cats that reap the profits from fuel companies whilst the rest of us pay over the odds for their products...
There are far more people in this country alone that deserve to be in what few spaces we have in our prisons, then either of the 2 mentioned.

having been a member of SH for a while, i thought i'd browse deeper than normal, rather than the chatroom, stories, ads etc. and signed up to 2 different groups on here..
now i know they are all made by different people, but i have been waiting for over a week to be accepted into these groups, is it me or does anyone else think if you are going to run such a group you need to keep an eye out for when people ask to join.... or if they dont want them to join at least tell them....
would just like to hear if anyone else has had trouble with this.

just thought i'd let you know what a great job you did and how we felt the evening went...
having read the feedback, i have come to the conclusion that you get out what u put in.....
it was our first social and we were nervous, but these nerves were flatten by other members and yourself by making us feel so welcomed...
and yes it did lead to us having our first meet which i feel was due to the relaxed no pressure atomosphere...
we will be attending more and thank all for a great time....

I agree with you there lost, i've been in smaller chat rooms having a real blast then u realise its actually alot later than u think and time has slipped by..But as someone who uses the rooms at mixed times (due to shifts at work)i find its more the people that u connect with than the time of day u chat. Also whether or not you're in a chatting mood or a perving mood!!!
after looking through all the post there are some good ideas, so i'm going to add my share...
I think the problem with unruly offenders could be dealt with by several users in the room being able to kick someone.. eg. someone nominates, then 2 more have to agree then the person gets dismissed/ban etc..... this would stop the power hungry people..
i feel that couples/bi/ single only rooms would mean that fakers may try to keep changing their profile tags every five minutes.... just to get into these room...
the 5 min wait is a pain, especially when the room crashes, then it fails to log in, you can be waiting 15-20mins just to log in.. pain if you are mid convo...
mayb to be able to view a couple of cams,
And finally...
a button to be able to give people a sense of humour....only joking.....
