I have some limited experience with swinging since i have been to a few parties and had some experiences there.

What I am generally looking is pure fun which can include anything, as long as it is accepted by everybody and it doesnt cross anyones limits. I am not into any filthy staff (watersports, pain etc) and I always use protection.
