If I could have the hotel list as well, I don't want to drink and drive and a hotel probably won't be much more than a taxi on Saturday night lol.

Warming the Bed
Another fantastic Yorkshire munch and well done to Kaz and her myriad of helpers for organising it.
My first munch after what I call an annus horriblis, I think someone else may have used that description once but I can't remember who lol
Great to see friends old and new and unfortunately for you all you might see a bit more of me in the coming months but life never was perfect lol.
Thanks for a great night Kaz and yes I did my usual trick of walking home, one day I might grow out ot that ;)

Well I would like to add my thanks to HLB and DB for putting on a great night out for us all. Loved meeting you all again and had a drink or two (as I do tend to do at these occasions).

Warming the Bed
I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts over the last few days, both in the forums and personally.
I have been inundated with offers of help and it is greatly appreciated, it really is at times like this you find out who your friends are.
My world fell apart on Monday, besides being my dad he was also my best friend and I will miss him. What made it worse in a way was that it would have been my mother’s birthday yesterday, he missed her greatly for the last two and a half years, they had been together over 50 years when she died. My only consolation is that he died peacefully in his sleep and is now with her again.
He was well liked and yesterday a friend came round with a card, it read:
‘We are so sorry to hear about your sad loss. Your dad was a gentleman and a good friend and will be sorely
It still chokes me to read that but it sums him up completely.
The funeral will be held next Tuesday followed by a reception at his local pub and I have decided that people should make donations to cancer research in lieu of flowers. The staff at the hospital have been fantastic and I would like to be able to give something back.

Pebbles and Demon did a fantastic job (as ever) of organising this munch and I thank them for it. Nice to see old friends and some new faces and make some new friends.

Thanks to Essexlady for organising yet another fabulous weekend and for feeding us poor single guys much better than we could have managed ourselves and all we had to do was wash up.

It's about three million years since I went to the silver blades skating but if I am free I wouldn't mind having another go.... if all else fails it will be a good laugh watching me fall over and get some fingers sliced off by someone pretending they are a speed skater lol
