Oh my god - My first social was a personal nightmare, I remamber getting to the place, sitting in the car for about 10 minutes thinkings "shall I - Shant I" then plucking up the courage to go inside thinking they are all human , they are not going to eat you alive !!!!
Then I got into the bar and I just stood there frozen, like the preverbial rabbit in the headlights, it felt like time had stood still.
Then Staggy came over introduced himself and I guess as they say the rest is history.
But oh my god - Sh*t scared or what !!! - I am afterall an naturally shy retiring person

Funnily enough I use a fountain pen every day - only yesterday when I was with and auditor she commented " you dont see many of those these days" after I had looked round and had done a double take it dawned on me what she was referring to!
Sadly a dying art, writing - we should all do more of it, maybe the forum wouldnt be the same though
