Not at £30 a ticket to get in and pay over the odds for stuff you can get cheaper online from the same companies.
Fever parties are running a party over the Passion weekend, . Has anybody ever been to one of their parties, interested to know what they are like. They seem to have dropped the age requirement for this one night so all can go. Any feedback would be appreciated.
It seems that adult shows outside of London just dont work because Erotica pulled out of Manchester because of lack of interest and AdultsOnly is not happening anymore.
At last we seem to have an alternative to Erotica called Passion and its in the spring ( ). Is anybody here going?
We were going till we heard about cameras being allowed. Too risky
Been a couple of times but wouldn't pay to go again though. You pay a lot (£20+) for the pleasure of being overcharged by exhibitors for stuff you can get on the internet much more cheaply.
The first Erotica (2002) we went to was better but last year we came away feeling it was all a biit of an expensive ripoff and it was more about filling space than the quality of the experience. I am afraid that we missed the erotic point of stands that sell bush hats, riding coats and shower cubicles. I wouldn't pay B&Q an entrance fee for the pleasure of buying a new bathroom. It just seems to be losing the plot a bit.
Both times we went we got round the whole thing in under an hour.

How much are tickets this year lol

I think they are around £25 each. Too expensive when you can get most of what is sold on the net for less. Didn't understand some of the stands last year - bush hats and shower cubicles confused: Shan't bother this year.

MrGHC has just come back from the Expo, wasnt that impressed. Smaller expo and a smaller range of items than Erotica, but more rubber items but thats to be expected really.
Think with the Skin Two name, we expected it to be bigger and better than Erotica......

Finally got time to report back on our experience at The Expo.
We had a great time. It isn't as big as Erotica, about 100 stalls, but a much nicer atmosphere and really friendly people. We had become dissolutioned with Erotica after last year, when they started to fill the place with irrevlevant stands selling bush hats, shower stalls and ordinary furniture, big is not always better, the entrance price is very expensive and the general atmosphere seemed more suited to stag parties than couples. The Expo seems to be much better focused. The whole place has a very social atmosphere and we spent ages sitting in the balcony cafe watching people. A lot of the visitors dress up for the event and there were some really wild outfits. If you have never been to The Expo we can really recommend it, it has similar stands to Erotica without the general porn end of the market, is much cheaper to get in and the prices on the stands are much more reasonable than stallholders charge at Erotica. This probably has to do with how much it costs the stallholders to attend. We spent loads of money on clothes and toys and were talked into buying tickets to The RubberBall in the evening. This meant we had to rush around again to buy a few more items to wear for the Ball because they have a strict dress code of no street wear.
We have never been to an event like the ball before and all we can say is we are total converts. It was a fabulous night held at SeOne, really busy and because of the dress code everybody looked really good. I have to say Mrs V looked stunning in her new corset and skirt and was a big hit with a couple of the photographers. There were some amazing outfits and we chatted to lots of people from all over the world. It seems to be a very international event and again we were amazed at just how friendly the whole fetish scene is. Tabbi, your description was very accurate so thanks for that. We are definitely going back next year (starting to save up now as Mrs V wants more outfits), I just wonder how we have managed to miss it the past. It seems to be a well kept secret.

I was going to go along but when discussing a friend last night he warned me that they tend to be the Fetish Fashionistas. ie not overy friendly if your face or fetish gear doesn't fit.
CQ

Absolute rubbish, send your friend over for a severe reprimanding
It's a very very good fetish and alternaitve lifestyle market. You get different stalls there than you do at the usual fet fairs, and it's as friendly as any other marlet/expo/fair connected with the scene.
Yes it tends to lean towards the latex/fetish clothing side of things but there's enough of interest for everyone who is a bit pervy/kinky minded
A lot of people go dressed because it's an Annual event, but quite a lot don't on Saturday because they're saving themselves for the RubberBall in the evening. Sunday is quite a good day for outfits and you get lots of bargains on the Sunday.
It's quite a spectacular event and in my opinion, outwieghs bluddy Erotica by far.
ClubRub will have their own sponsored bar area as per, and there's a fabulous looking art exhibition on in tha barbican that you might want to take int while you're there. the Barbican are offering Skin2 Expo visitors £2 off the entrance fee:

I'm going on the Saturday I think, as I'm looking and socialising,....(in otherwords skint) .... I wont have need of the bargains biggrin
Thanks for the info - really useful. We are looking forward to it.
Has anyone on here been to the SkinTwo Expo at the Barbican in London?
We are planning to go this weekend and would welcome any feedback.
