Hi there. My name is Cj and I'm the Community Development Worker for Yorkshire MESMAC in Selby and York. MESMAC is a sexual health charity which provides fast, free and totally confidential HIV testing, STI testing, 1 to 1 support and advice, information on PEP and PREP, as well as free condoms and lube.

We have testing drop-in sessions and private appointments available throughout the week from our bases in York and North Yorkshire.

We're currently running drop-in testing sessions at Selby Citizens Advice (38 Ousegate, YO8 4PN). These take place every Wednesday from 2pm. We also offer appointments for different times which you can book through our website in just 2 clicks.

I'm also happy to arrange private appointments for other days at a time to suit you.

If you live in Tadcaster, Sherburn-in-Elmet or elsewhere within the Selby district and would like an appointment in your area simply message me and we'll try and arrange something.

We're able to test for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. Our HIV test will provide a result within 20 minutes - so you can know your status straight away. For the other tests you'll receive the results via text within about a week.

We're NHS funded - but run an extremely confidential and discreet service, and none of our testing services are added to any form of medical records.

If you live in York we have drop-ins at our office (Marygate Lane, YO30 7BJ) every Monday from 4-7pm and Wednesday 12-2pm.
