You wouldn't believe the number of mails I get from guys offering me their services even when I have clearly posted an ad in the right section.
I've changed the wording now for the hard of understanding
The last one read "I think we are looking for the same thing", to which I replied "well if you a re a guy looking for women you are right"

But you know I am a pure gent in these matters

My personal experiences are this:
I don't send a pic first unless the ad specifically says "only replies with pics will be answered" If a woman gets 100 replies and everyone has a pic attached her mail box will soon be bursting, and the download time on a dial up will go through the roof.
However I ALWAYS offer a pic when mailing a reply, and make sure they get it pdq (pretty damn quick)
And as for the suggestion that you get someone else to take some pics of you, wel that is something i can thoroughly reccomend
