Now for the dreaded talky bit...

Well, I have recently moved to Preston and still getting to know the area. A few of my friends are already living here, so at least I am not totally lost!

Well first and foremost, I am very much a geek! On the downside, you would have to put up with my geeky TV shows/films/books/games, but on the up I can sort out any technology problems and flat-pack furniture. I don't know why, but I love to put flat-pack stuff together. Beards, hmm... I can never make up my mind if I want one or not, so I keep alternating between having one or being clean shaven. Humour is important to me as laughter is great medicine, but be warned, I can gravitate towards sarcasm and deadpan myself.

I like to cook, but I can get a bit lazy when on my own, its much better to have someone around to appreciate it with me. Unlike the untold masses on here who say that they love the gym and would live in it if they could, I don't. It doesn't mean that I am a couch potato, I don't want to feel like a hamster on a wheel is all. To keep active, I like to walk/hike and currently I am getting back into cycling. I'm also not that bothered about going out and partying either these days. I'd rather go for a coffee with people, at least I'll be able to hear what they are saying that way!

What do I want from this site? Obviously, I want to meet new people who I can get on with be friends with and then see what develops from there. They need to be able to make me laugh, but also get me thinking after an interesting conversation or debate...
