The scene in Scotland is definately not dead. But you do have to be patient. I;ve been swinging for 4 or so years, and in my first year I had one meet. It takes time to establish yourself, learn the rules, etiquette etc. Then meeting people and if you're into dogging learning locations. I suspect this is the same throughout the country; and unless you live right next door to a well established dogging venue, you are unlikely to jump straight in and find "action". Keep trying, be polite and get involved in chat rooms.

It depends what sort of thing you are looking for guys. There are places to go, some of which are very easy (some would say too easy) to find...and hence tend to be busy, and attract the attentions of the local constabulary and the boy racer fraternity. Is anyone planning on attending the pagan fire festival a top Calton Hill this Saturday night. In years gone by I have seen various antics going on away from the main festival, from the odd couple making out, to lots of couples going at it side by side in the grass. There is always a large contingent of naked people / semi naked people in the event itself - but if you explore the areas away from the main event you could find a whole lot more fun! Best advice I can give is take a wee drive about near the braids. There aren't many roads that pass the braids and are discrete - so shouldn't take too long to isolate the spot. But to let you know it isn't very active - and can suffer from dog walkers from local houses who are not amused by it!!!!
