Thanks for the thumbs up Ste and Kez, sound advice from you guys too. I think that is the key, you hit the nail on the head, 'you aren't desperate to meet others'... being overly desperate to meet up (whilst we all have days like it) can lead to conversations with people who you aren't being picky enough over.
You can't do anymore than taking your time and getting to know a person, or a couple, a little bit better smile

Good luck to all the first-timers out there who feel their time is being wasted. Trust the more experienced members on here and try to get to know more people, even people you don't think you would end up meeting - it is a social site after all.

Unfortunately you will find, that a lot of singles (mainly single guys) get their kicks from thinking about meeting up, going through the motions of sending messages and getting to chatting etc... and then they lose their courage to go through with it. It does happen, and it is real ball-ache when it happens to you.
BUT, no, the site isn't full of them. There are a fair few, but they can be avoided if you make sure you:
1. Chat via cam so the guy/girl or couple are what they say they are
2. Exchange numbers in advance and make sure you have spoken on the phone and that you have a contact number for them
Also - if they let you down once, maybe give them the benefit of the doubt. I was due to meet with a nice couple a year or so ago, my car broke down on the way AND my mobile seemed to just die on me, so I had no way of contacting them until I was towed home later that night. Needless to say, they were livid with me - but after my explanation and a few more chats, we arranged to meet again and it all went fantastically well. We met up several times afterwards.
So yes, there are a few people who will waste your time on here - but keep chatting and eventually you'll find what you are after smile
