Just would like to add to Steph's and fabio's posts.
Some of do have jobs that are affiliated to professionals bodies and yes we can be sacked - it is a very real threat.
And it isn't that hard to get to invited to organised event if you put a bit of effort into it - get posting - worked for us and we're on lists fro two. And no we haven't tried to be anyone that we're not. You only get found out! We're not particulalry witty or anything like that either

I read the post by Silk & BigG with sadness. Through all they wrote that's what jumped out at me :( The basic premise is as I pointed out before - a company like Symbosis does not buy a website for money and not expect that money back in return and to make a profit. That is business. Simple plain fact. Symbosis already run at least one pay for site ( with free membership that offers nothing at all really). The forum on this site is crap - no interactions that are lively, stimulating, funny etc etc as is here. Oh and by the way it is def not a dating site - it is a swinging site. And to be quite honest I find that site a bit seedy - Mr KC subscribes but it's a bit too clinical for me.
Members here give freely of their thoughts, lives, pics, contacts etc etc . . .is that really going to stay the same. . . of course it isn't . . .over time people will move away. The site will evolve into something else . . . that is inevitable.
Like others I'll stick around and see how things go . . . .
A business deal is a business deal . . . doesn't mean that people have to be happy with it or bend over backward and gush with enthusiasm for it and then be decried as individuals who don't want to move on etc etc as some posts seem to suggest.
I have read all the posts . . .whew . . .and unfortunately this takeover has happened like most others in this country. The grass roots people are never consulted etc etc. Not saying that Mark shouldn't have sold it . .I don't walk in his shoes . ..
I think for the mods & ops tho - they were put in positions that were clearly untenable for them and judging by Blue's post ( fantastic btw) were asking them to withold info from others - crap to be asked that if you are employed by a company but these people aren't - they give their time freely and a hell of a lot of time at that. Asking them to do this was clearly out of order - for Mark it prob a clause in contract but for the mods ops etc, their are not obliged in any way shape or form.
What worries me is that the diversity of the people on here will be diminished. Take Blue for eg - strong people will not wither or cow down. And if they don't bend to the new " management" how long will they last before insidiuous comments are made and their position is so uncomfortable that they may up sticks and leave?
Not saying this will happen but it could . . . .
And for goodness sake, this site is now a for profit business - money will come into somewhere along the line and by introducing money, this will alienate a big section of the people present and future who look for sites such as this. Show me a registered legal business whose aim is not profit . . .
Symbius already controls some of the pay for sites - look at their forums - they are not alive, pulsing, funny, sad, proactive or even used to the extent that this one is . . . wonder why?

It take a big person to hand over a creation that is outgrowing them and eating into their personal lives - to care enough about your creation to allow someone else to culture it further rather than hang on and perhaps see it slip and slide . . . or was it the money! LOL . . whatever it was, whatever the motive, we don't walk in your shoes . . .your decision was your own . . .

Like daniel bedingfield, I believe Robbie has ADHD - Daniel uses his as a creative force and is willing to talk about it - a great role model for my son. Robbie needs to learn to harness his and not use it as a destructive force - he has so many opportunities that many don't have - I could coach him - cmon Robbie - you know you want me to!

In memory of my grandad . . .died 4 years ago but lives with love in my heart . . .landed at the beaches of Normandy and served also in Italy as part of REME.
He never talked about his experiences until the last few years of his life when he developed alzheimers and lived through those awful years again . . . we never knew :cry:
Also in memory of everyone who fought in anyway for this country; for those that stayed and kept this country working ( my other grandfather was a conscripited bevan boy), for the indomnitable spirit of a country that would not lay down . ..

Just back from Prague - bought a nice pressie for Mr KC ( cos I know he likes to please me) - used it straight when I got back - a "mini - tickler vibrator" - has vibrating prong things(!?) that are absolutley fantastic.
