As a Free member from way back when - 2004 i believe - there is no point me adding my voice to this subject, as the thread has covered most points, for and against, and is now starting to shift into the realms of repetition and........ the only thing i would say is...
Ever since 2004 I have never been a regular 'Forumite' as the number of posts i have made in 7 years clearly shows. Generally i find that the inane arguing of the Forum bores the pants off me...
But every now and again there is a thread that provokes real valuable discussion and worthwhile dialogue....this thread is one of them...I have actually read every post in detail and i rarely ever do that....
So congratulations to Aurora for raising the bar of Forum posts way above the norm (and lowering the prices for regulars hopefully)....

ps...i love all the mathematical arguments over numbers...shame its all pure supposition......and probably wildly inaccurate....
one thing i would love to know...what are the real numbers...?
i.e. how many 'Free' members still use the site?
how many actual 'Fee paying' members are there?
I bet that makes very interesting reading...will we ever find out?

like has been said above, complete your profile, join in with conversations in the chat room, it may seem difficult at first but hang in there, dont expect miracles and instant action, be genuine and get to know people, socials are a fab way of meeting people in a relaxed no pressure environment.

I checked the system and found that a download had changed the flash player causing problems. I haver now corrected this and it works fine now.

i use opera.. and cant get the webcam to work... it shows the adobe accept/deny screnn in "my camera" but doesnt allows me to do anything with it..is this the same problem as Graham?
