What you need to do is download " ipod rip" from google search page. Load this onto laptop install itunes and follow instructions from ipod rip help page. This will take tunes from ipod and safely upload them to your itunes on of luck this does work as the guys at Apple shop in London told me of the program when my pc crashed and i lost all 9000 the program is free.
