You're definitely not alone. I thought it was probably just me - or at least only a bloke thing. Be reassured you're just a perfectly normal, seced up human being.

I like Rosa Parks as a nomination
Other candidates: Mother Teresa but, in terms of influence (rather than 'goodness' or humanitarian effort) then Margaret Thatcher has to be one of the most influential women of the last 100 years. I realise that she is a somewhat divisive figure, and I am not asking whether people here agree with her or even approve of her, but it's hard to deny her influence.

Not really qualified to comment on this. As most of you will know, there's no hair on the top of my head (see gallery for details). As for the rest of me - there's not enough wax in the world!
Will
How about a Laphroiag then?

For me foreplay is paramount - the longer it lasts, the better. Penetration is what foreplay is building towards and the longer and better the foreplay the greater the sensation when the final act happens.
I have to say that my own orgasm is completely unimportant. Some of my most enjoyable and memorable sexual experiences have not involved me having an orgasm at all.
I am glad that Nola (and others) have mentioned kissing. That is where it all starts. That is the moment when you first know that this encounter is going to go further. I know some people don't like kissing with anyone other than their long term partner, and limits and preferences must always be respected, but, personally, I don't understand how you can get intimate without kissing. How do you start? Do you leap on each other avoiding oral contact at all costs?
Speaking of oral (if you'll pardon the pun!), I absolutely love that - both giving and receiving.
So for me, the ideal sexual encounter would involve exploring my partner's body completely: touching, stroking, caressing, kissing, licking every single part of her - for as long as we can both stand - before culminating in long, slow, sensual love-making, interspersed by periods of fast, furious and passionate f**k*ng. Afterwards, we can collapse in a heap and hold each other.
Phew! I wasn't expecting to write all that, it just came from nowhere.

Need a drink and a wind down now!
Sorry to have been rather absent - but I'm sure you all helped yourselves.
Just off to bathe the little ones - but, if he's around, my good friend Westeross will look after you until my return!

I'm sure it's high time that I opened the SH Cocktail bar again! So, what can I get you all?
Will
The Pinot Noir has enough cassis flavours for you to pretend it's blackcurrant if you absolutely must. As for the lemonade :scared:
*Will flexes his fingers*
Can I offer you a back rub with that? :rascal:
Will
Any particular wine or did you just want to disarrange my minimal vestments? :rascal:
I can offer you a nicely chilled NZ Sauvignon Blanc or an equally chilled Chablis. Some Rose (White Zinfnadel) and, for a change, some Chilean Pinot Noir.
What do you fancy?
Will
Somewhere to post your recommendations on wines to try.
I am particularly keen to be pointed in the direction of something I haven't tried before.
Here are some of my tips:
I have been drinking some Villa Maria Suvignon Blanc this evening. Fantastic! Villa Maria is one of those rare things - a volume wine producer that is supremely consistent. Their Sauv Bl is particularly good.
Hardy's Crest range is usually priced at a bottle. I have to say that this is a delicious wine, but I won't pay ten quid a bottle for it. However, as luck would have it, ALL the supermarkets (to my knowledge Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons) have it on half price offer from time to time. At it's an absolute steal. Buy as many as you can fit in your trolley and stash them in the cupboard under the stairs!
If you're a port fan, going for a 'Late Bottled Vintage' (LBV) is a good way of getting a better quality port without going the whole hog and shelling out for a major vintage. Graham's and Taylor's both do excellent LBVs. If you haven't tried it yet, try some Fonseca port. Unusual in that it is one of the few port house that isn't British owned. However, their Bin No 27 and organic Terra Primo are both superb.
I would love to hear what you think of the wines I have suggested (both positive and negative) and I would also like some suggestions to try.
Will
Waiting expectantly with corkscrew and glass.
Open for all my regular customers - and some new ones too, hopefully!
Now then, what can I get you?
Will
PS Be warned, feeling extremely frisky tonight, so wearing a bartender's apron...and nothing else! :rascal:
Ooh, that looks interesting. I'll try one now and report back!
Will
Ooh, fantastic question
Experiment - but talk about it first.
Be honest with your partner about the things you want to try. There have been things that we both wanted to try but didn't want to initiate discussion in case we freaked each other out. We have learned that, actually, we are both open and broad minded (which is what attracted us to each other in the first place, of course).
Above all, understand that the desire to swing may come and go. If it isn't what we want to do right at this moment that doesn't mean that it won't come back - and it has! :rascal:
Will
I'll keep trying. The experimentation should be fun (isn't it always? :rascal: )

PS Good to see you, how are things?
Several people have commented on the mature and unsensational handling of the subject. So I suspect that this was NOT Jeremy Kyle then. He was an ignorant, irritating, over opinionated pr**k at school and, from what I can gather, he hasn't changed much since!

Inadvertantly created a new cocktail today. I was trying to creat a 'rainbow cocktail' with layers of different colours. Unfortunately, all the colours mixed into a non-descript brown. Sappho (who doesn't normally do cocktails) said that it smelled like cough medicine. However, she also said it was delicious. Here's the recipe, I would be interested to hear what you think:
Equal measures of:
Brandy
Grenadine
Apricot Brandy
Creme de Menthe
Blue Curacao
Pour, one by one, into a glass and drink. It has a wonderful fruity flavour with a hint of peepermint.
Do try it and let me know what you think.
Graham
Didn't see this myself. Can someone tell me who the host was? I have seen both Jeremy Kyle and Philip Schofield mentioned, but I don't think they do the same show. Enlightenment would be great.
Thanks,
Will
Well, Sappho and I are not very experienced with clubs and want to broaden our horizons a little. From what we have read on this thread, this seems like a reasonable place to start.
Will
Very good! Unfortunately, that just about exhausts my Portuguese.
Mind you, to keep the theme going, I might be heading for some port later.
Now then, about these Caipirinhas, the only recipe I have is lime juice, aguardente, caster sugar and ice. How do you make them?
