hi, i cannot access the chat rooms at present, when i click on chat, it comes up with the log-in box and freezes, is andbody else having this problem, and does anyone know how to solve this?....................it started yesterday, originally it was letting me in, then kept booting me out of the rooms..........now i can't get in.........HELP!!!

It could possibly be that yes - if your connection is dropping whilst the upgrade is taking place then by all means this would cause you problems.
if you have upgraded flash you probably cant see anything
this is becouse the upgrade sneaks in a popup stopper
and yes you guest it the chat room is effectively a popup
look on the top line of the browser window
there will be a an icon for popups click it and say donot block

Warming the Bed
What browser are you using? I guess Internet Explorer. If so download firefox and see if it works with that. That way you can figure out if its a browser problem or not.

I managed to enter the chatrooms early this morning but can't seem to anymore. i think this is a fault with the chatrooms rather than a fault with individuals pc's

Well there are currently in excess of 850 members in the chatrooms right now . . . so I would guess it IS a problem at your end

Warming the Bed
I have had the same access problem since tonight - this does seem to be a regular eventt.
Hello is there anybody here ........................................does anyone read these? ( and please Mods this is in no way directed at you)
We were warned to use this new chatroom forum or lose it ? Is there a problem or is it assumed to be us.
I know there are presently 1100 people listed as being in the chatroom but help ! . As an update to the above I did spend a glorious 20 mins in chatroom 1 around six o'clock only to have the exotic idea of then moving to chatroom 2 which resulted in me being kicked out to the sinbin yet again ( tried for as further 30 mins and then gave up ) .
Back again now and still no joy and still no thoughts on any of the previous messages either . I guess the moral to the story is if you do get in don't move , stand very very still.........
I also posted last month what I thought maybe a relevant observation on the problem that chat2 has with being unavailable ( being that when the beach , pool are full with 80 peps any new arrivals aren't then directed to the jaccuzzi on that server , unlike the other servers which has the net effect of kicking you out and that has had no feedback either !!
Common on guys , someone enlighten us?

Hi Si the best I can offer at the moment is that the Admins are dealing with it.
I realise that's not much help when you are spending a frustrating tme trying to get in but we do listen and it is being looked at. I believe at the present time the chatrooms are hosted across the Atlantic and this does cause a delay in the righting of problems.
I would suggest also that if you have the extra's pack then try going in through the extra's lounge and picking chat server 1 or 3.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but persistance is the key here ;)

Yep I was trying the extras option too and that is hit and miss too . Again I did get in briefly about , took my life in my hands and tried ( successfully) to visit all three servers before trying to go back to 1 and got kicked again ( i'm just too brave !!).
Interestingly ( while I'm on a roll) the numbers in chat1 were 300ish , chat 2 around 60 , chat 3 about 140 = 500 while the stats claimed 1122 .....hmmmm.
Brings back memories of the Blackadder episode with Pitt the younger and the Dunny on the Wold by-election ( votes14 , electorate 1 ) or you've got 600 peps locked in the Dungeon........LOL
