Anyone else having disconnection problems in chat? I am fine for 5 minutes then I get disconnected. I hit the login button again and the screen just sits there. The only way to get back in is to close down chat then login again. Then 5 minutes later it happens again.
Help!
I have had some problems with Flash player in the last day or two I thought I had fixed them. Related?
try logging in with a different browser, i find google chrome works well and its self updating with things like flash
This is outside of the browser. I use the free-standing "SH "
This is very strange. I have just been using the browser-based chat for 20 minutes or so and it worked fine (I am using IE9). There is obviously something in that doesn't like me.
Maybe download Mozilla FireFox (free) I never have any issues with chatroom using it. :thumbup:
We've been in the chatroom this evening, happily talking away, when for no apparent reason SH signed us out.
Despite quite a few attempts to re-enter the chatrooms, for some bizarre reason we cannot get back in.
Has anyone else experianced this this evening/recently?
There was a similar problem last night, as well. Admin are aware of it and are investigating.
Yes- i have- and a few others too- i have spent more time trying to log into chat than actually being able to chat... banghead

Yup thats me given up chatting until after Christmas now, just cant be bothered. But hey why should the site care, we've paid our money and they do say they cant guarantee the chat servers will always work but i'm sure they'll get enough new members in from the free chat week to cover those that dont bother to renew their accounts because of the problems.
I'm sure they'll have it fixed in a day or so tho rolleyes
Our developers have been investigating the issue, it hasn't been disconnecting everyone, its not laod related and there's been no apparent server outage which has made bug finding problematic, we believe we have found the cause and have rolled back the version of one the operating systems, we have also have adjusted the way that the network is configured.
But the problem may still exist, we will not know for certain until we spot some more disconnections.

When did get back into chat, landed in The Pool and whilst could see main chat screen, nothing populated in either Members list or Rooms list
Also noticed that who's looked at me is no longer being refreshed, yes tested it via friends
the peeps who know how 2 do stuff r doin site maintainance
they all finished work n got some time 2 spend fixin fings...
i am having trouble viewing any cams at all. one minute it is ok and now i cannot view any cams
just been booted 7 times in the last 10 mins............ when is this problem going to be sorted? what is the problem? please please please can we have some sort of communication here? we're paying our fees- we deserve SOMETHING ??????

i have no problems on any other site- even sites that have chat rooms- i am getting really fed up with this- it is happening way too often now- and yet we are never offered any sort of refund- even partial- but when we ''buy'' a product- should it not work dunno
am logging off now- for the 3rd night running of being unable to get into chat n chat/ catch up with mates etc ......

If you are still having problems getting in would you let us know via a support ticket http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/support-tickets/ as it will help us to find out what is causing your problem.

One of the reasons they say open a support ticket is that it captures some additional technical details about your browser etc., which can be helpful in spotting common factors. It also opens up a channel directly to the person looking into the problem so you know what's happening. ;)

Worth adding the 'open Chat in de-bug' option to http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/chatroom/ in the small section just below Enter The Chatroom panel again ?
Would this help capture the 'events' when some users are still encountering issues ?
That way you might gain additional 'log' information that will assist with diagnosing ?
Just a thought
The problems is chat persist and it is getting to the point no one can have a conversation as people get randomly booted. I understand that you need time to sort things out but when might we see an improvement please?
i was disconnected several times around 9pm this evening, then it went ok for a bout 90 mins, now it's started to disconnect me again, and i've got a room key, please just get it sorted, it's sdo frustrating.
This seems to affect a very small proportion of people using Internet Explorer, maybe its some setting in there dunno , would you try another browser such as Firefox or Chrome and see if you still have this problem, alternatively you could try the desktop chat.

some friends who'd still been having regular dis-connects last night managed to
a) move from IE9 back to IE8 * and were OK
b) downloaded Chrome, just for SH use, and were OK

As per http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/403205.html, it seems Microsoft have now started pushing out IE updates to later versions of the browser, via their Automatic Updates service with those using Windows XP being upgraded to IE8, while those on Vista and 7 getting bumped up to IE9. (Certainly on a clean build over Christmas ran Auto Update yesterday and luckily checked what was being included and spotted IE9 in the pushed list, having previouisly selected IE9 to be blocked several months ago).
If this is the case, then your comment on that thread of, "...Vista and Internet Explorer 9 web browser users reporting a similar problem viewing videos via the JW Player software that we use. Please try running your web browser in compatibility view - there's a 'broken page' icon that looks like this at the top of your screen, on the right hand side of the web address bar 'www.swingingheaven.co.uk...'. Please try clicking onto that option and then try watching a video ..."

Sorry it's Jules, I forgot to sign the post but what I can say is that I have never had a problem with whispers, not now, not previously at any point.

I have problems with whispers, but that is me and not the site redface
However, there has been some reports about problems with whispers at the moment and it seems to be dependant on which browser you are using, but more info can be found in here - http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/403267.html - see the message from St3v3 near to the bottom of the page.
The whisper issue and another with who is watching your cam is affecting some users, until we are able to put in a fix, I have been told that refreshing chat sorts out the whispers and watchers issues.
Have a look at NWC's link above which is to do with disconnections that some using IE are experiencing.
