I get a lot of amusement from the variious names we give ourselves on this site; I am also a little baffled as to the 'trade descriptions' that get a bit bent-for example the 'hornys' who are'nt really horny (at least not in public) or 'cumlots4U' who can't get a hard-on when you meet; suggestions of huge endowments that are bogus! All good fun, so no critiscism implied...I just wondered if anyone had a tale to tell as to how they chose their particular 'handle'. (Mine because I started very late in life!!)

:rotflmao: There was a time (pre broadband, pre 'freeserve') when most adult chat rooms were based in the US. So it made sense to prefix your handle with 'uk'.
I'd always thought it best to have a 'neutral' (i.e. not boastful or aggressive sounding) handle.
Beannie was originally going to be 'bean', a diminuative mispelling of 'being' (as in 'human being' - which I nicked from the Dustin Hoffman film 'Little Big Man').
When I registered my first webmail address ukbean was taken, so I extended it to ukbeannie. Only pitfall I've ever had with it is people thinking of Beanie Babies (the soft toys) and that I can't spell! lol
So ukbeannie has stuck with me since then, though I do use David4Cpl in other places and the non . bit of my retail website address in other forums (it's about feeling comfortable with a site and how much information you're prepared to give out about your self).

I meant wild in the natural, uncultivated sense but I think I'm often expected to be a bit crazy & slutty when I'm really not.... (well not sober anyway!)
I have to admit that if I like the sound of a user name then I'll be automatically interested enough to view a profile so I guess you have to choose well.

It is also what a colleague calls me everyday which is a bit wierd sometimes. LOL
I'm pretty sure some people don't try saying theirs out loud when they pick them. And they also don't remember that at socials their friends may want to call their names a cross a public bar. There are a couple of my friends on here that I don't even feel comfortable mentioning them by name to other SH'ers.
