chaotic, i would just like to reiterate what deecee and fem_4_taboo have said......in no way did i ever imply that naughty uncle wasnt a decent fella, i just agreed that i thought the username does have some negative connotations.

When I first join SH back in March, Uncle was one of my first contacts in the chat rooms. He guided me thought the nerve racking experience of whispers, helped me decide what to write in my profile and was constantly making sure I was Ok. He was able to explain some of the terminology that was alien to be as I was coming from a ‘vanilla’ environment without making me feel like an idiot for asking.
Nearly 6 months on and I am now a regular in the Midlands room where I have made lots of new friends and have spent many a pleasant hour chatting.
I would like to thank Uncle for all his help and guidance, without which I may have bolted for the exit and never returned.

Naughty Uncle has been a member since 2005 using the same name. No one has complained of it, until he was seeked out to become an op. I would like to point out that if members of this site were so against his name, then they wouldn't have borthered seeking him out for this position.
I just generally feel, along with many others, that people were generally nit picking to find something bad to say about this person and since discretion is top priority on this site they had nothing to work with but a Username! I mean why slander a Username? A Username is simply an alias!
This man is a genuine and loving person, like i'm sure most of us are. But to be refered to as somethings that people have been mentioning is enough to break ones spirit. In My eyes being an OP is a hard job, as no matter what you do no one is happy and they is always something going on. Give the man a break and prove how good he can be, without people slandering something as stupid as a Username!

Technically that's incorrect. I complained to Admin about the name (not the person!) several months ago.
This was never a reflection on the persons character, as I do not know him, I reported it because I find the name very offensive to me personally.
I just wanted to mention this because I have seen it posted several times that it was never an issue before he became an OP.
I don't want to start a debate about it because it's for the site owners/Mods to decide/discuss- I just thought it was right to speak up.
