I agree with Alan. If we want to avoid cops, boy racers, vigilantes and general busybodies who enjoy spoiling other people's enjoyment, surely the directions to numerous locations listed in this website's dogging section should be removed as well as censoring naming exact locations from the forum. People can send private messages to each other about exact locations.
It seems to me that some joined-up thinking is needed here.
I know one site where the local residents have started a campaign called "Friends of xxx xxxx" with the objective of stopping people having sex there, even in the dark.
The locations are all well known.........The idiocy comes in naming locations along with times.
ie. We are dogging at THIS car park in THAT location this very night....we will be there from 10pm
Or any similar permutation as in when a couple say they are going out in a certain area on a particular day at a certain time, when some moron then posts "do you mean you are going to THIS car park".
This tells the boy racers, police, perverts etc., EXACTLY where and when to go to cause the most consternation! Most of these idiots can't be bothered to wait days or weeks otherwise.
Bearing in mind that the public en-mass seem to have minimal intelligence, it seems sensible to ban ANY mention of location on open forum, to pr0tect those of us who wish to use dogging sites. Then there are the selfish, self opinionated, know it all types who feel the need to do it "their" way, and name sites for all to see and damn the consequences, just so it doesn't affect them directly!!!!!!!

There's nothing new in idiocy. The idiotic are always with us so we have to protect ourselves from idiocy by establishing good dogging netiquette.

Agreed! So it would be resonable to write, for example, "We'll be dogging in Cambridgeshire on Saturday evening" then anyone interested can contact the poster to ask the exact location, the time and what kind of activity is wanted. It's fairly easy to sort out who the idiots are when they've written to you. They can be ignored, while the interesting sounding ones can be given the essential details.
