In the olden days . . .  . .the forums were an active part of the site, numerous wide ranging discussions on all sorts of subjects . . . . . . so starter for ten . . . .Brexit  . . .discuss

Yep, it’s a bit quiet here these days

You'd think a few more of the 1.9 million members might pop in here once in a while.

Well, Brexit went down like a lead balloon.  How about ISIS brides?

 How about ISIS brides?

Probably less divisive than Brexit. icon_smile.gif

Brexit: Majority in favour of Leaving.

Parliament: Majority in favour of saying Fuck The Majority.

I think that about covers it.

it does feel that the forums are less used/important to the community at the moment..

Have we runout of things to talk about? Or have the members who made the forums such a place of questions & debate moved on?

Maybe it’s when the forums were a vibrant place of argument & counter argument we only had our own national chat rooms to play in & not the international range we have now to talk to ppl across the globe?

I've been away from this site for a long time and I noticed that too. Used to be really busy, met some nice online friends, actually back in the day one of them really helped me get through a divorce, nothing sexual, just real backup, she was terrific.  User name no longer active.

The forums used to be the busiest part of the site, you couldn't keep up with the posts it was that busy. We had a bar on a weekend, and usually had a lot of drunken posts, parties all the time and generally took the micky out of each other, but all in a good humoured way.
