OMG, never laughed so much, got rib ache xxxx
Surely this is the real answer - bring in Alan Partridge!

Straight swap - one preposterous caricature for another. Of course, he did once shoot a guest dead on his chat show so the producer would still have to tread carefully. On that bombshell, etc...
why not put an ex formula one driver in the programme they have better skills than any of the presenters. david coulthard already works for the bbc so use him.
and i have to be honest i recently watched nigel mansell at the wheel of a supercar and he was bloody quick and drifting the thing around like a toy.
he spun it into the pit box on the handbrake, got out like it was nothing.
beeb got money and could easily put a star driver as a guest presenter each week.
britain has many talented race drivers who would fit the bill.
Think i'll start a petition :rascal:
minidave for new Top Gear presenter

Guest presenters are ok on studio based programmes but on something like Top Gear, nah, don't think the format would work.
Coulthard is quirky enough and with a little pushing he could probably do it, but he's not a real 'personality' like JC and coulthards Commentary is flipping awful, he ends the majority of his sentences on a squeaky high voice, Brundle is da man, but he's contracted to Sky and a racer through and through, not so sure he'd want to move on from the F1 Circuit regardless of the financial incentive.
Top Gear is JC, he'd be a really tough act to follow, the BBC have a habit of getting things wrong, if there is to be a sacking/appointment of a n other I wouldn't trust them to get it right, the next poor bugger of a TG presenter would have to fit in the with useless management of the BBC and both appease and appeal to the TG massive? asif?
bbc have dropped clarkson.

Sad indeedy and as Hammond said via his Twitter feed, ' end of an era' The BBC obviously have the nations best interests at heart if they can afford to lose £50 Million for a fat lip.
Piers Morgans 'open letter to Jc' in the mail was an interesting read.

Lets hope Sky buy JC, Hammond and May up and call the new programme ' Geared'
JC's popularity
Top Gear Twitter account - Followers
James May account - Followers
Richard Hammond - Followers
Jeremy Clarkson - Followers.
Sunday evenings wont be the same.
maybe sky as he was talking to fox about doing a show for their channel on fox 1 in america. so murdoch would have him on sky in this country as well.
fox 1 replaced speed channel in america.

I still think he's a doppellganger for my eldest brother - that picture of JC just brings back memories of 70's passport photoes for me :rascal:
Gutted he has gone but really looking forward to seeing what the three of them will do next :bounce:
i wouldnt be surprised if the other three are offered massive deals to ditch the bbc and move to where clarkson ends up.

i was reading something on-line yesterday about how different another show on another network would have to be from top gear, the BBC really has this show wrapped up so no stig type testing, no racing through different places in the world, no celeb time trials the list goes on! the format is truly is safe and secure for the BBC dunno
I am amazed that there are still people around who think JC shouldn't have been sacked for hitting someone at work !
Do people seriously think it is ok for one person to hit another person while at work or indeed anywhere ?
I can just imagine it at my workplace .... not !!!!!

To say nothing of the overpaid football players who think the pitch is a place to have a punch up ? Of all the 'assaults' carried out
on the pitch/tunnels/changing rooms/training ground all of which is the place of work for a player and how many of them have
lost their jobs over it? *cocks ear*.

mabe he should have bitten him
IMO anyone who hits someone at work should be sacked unless fighting is their job smile
That includs footballers, truck drivers, teachers, tv presenters etc etc :)
