It does look a bit generic - very similar to the Google Chrome one and also similar to Microsoft logos.
I prefer the new font though.

well... whoever is responcible for design aught to have a word with whomever carries the final decission. As the 'extras' thingie on the right-top bears more weight than the logo, in both colour and density of type. (but then, 'extras' does generate more revenue for them, so I suppose it makes good sence to the little people in accounts...aha! Accounts! That's where the little people went... whoever they were.)

The new logo for those like me who struggle to see it in the top left, has a bigger version, at the very bottom on the right hand side, but it has been on the site for some time, it is just in an additional new place.
