On another thread on this forum there is a bit of a kerfuffle about people having predicted certain things which might or might not have happened, according to other posters.
OK, lets see who can do the best predictions for the coming year !!! And they have to be easily checked facts, not "I possibly meant that, or he really meant this" so we'll limit it to a few catagories which are solid and factual.
Here are the items on which I want your predictions;
1, Who will be Prime Minister after the Election in May ?
2, What will be the standard rate and top rate of tax and VAT rate in UK on 1st Jan 2016 ?
3, What will be the exchange rate of UK £ against the Euro and the Dollar on 1st Jan 2016 ?
4, What will be the price of unleaded fuel and diesel at the pumps on 1st Jan 2016 ?
5, Will there be a solution to the Ukraine problem by 1st Jan 2016, if so what is it ?
6, Will UK armed forces (not special forces or advisors) be fighting in Africa by 1st Jan 2016 ?
And in homage to Dammies law (oh so long ago) my answers are ;
1, Ed Miliband
2, 20% tax 40% tax and 20% VAT
3, Euro to the pound and Dollars to the pound
4, Unleaded £1-20 Diesel £1-25
5, Fighting stopped by agreement, Russia gets agreement to keep Crimea via UN
6, Air assault brigades and helicopers attacking Muslin terrorists in Nigeria.

1) Depends if Deals have to be made! Hopefully not;-
Teresa May (ineffective as Home secretary and no reason to think she would be any better in No. 10)
Boris (jumped up self publicist who puts style above substance)
Ed Miliband (weak)
2) To stay the same.
3) Euro = , US Dollar -
4) Depends on OPEC but about for unleaded by Autumn.
5) Russia to continue to occupy the areas of the Ukraine they control now. The rest of the world only managing to wave an angry finger in there direction.
6) No, not for at least 12 months after the general election as promises will be made in the campaign that will have to be kept (till they think we have all forgotten)
