The schoolboy alleged to have become a dad aged 12 is not the baby’s father, the Mirror can reveal.
Alfie Patten, now 13, had a £300 DNA test after half a dozen boys claimed to have slept with schoolgirl pal Chantelle Stedman, 15.
It proved the 4ft-tall pupil was not the father of her seven-week-old girl Maisie Roxanne.
The result will be a blow to Alfie who was “devastated” by the boys’ claims and “adored” Maisie.
He was convinced he was the dad after a single night of unprotected sex with Chantelle.
Before he took the test, he said: “I didn’t know about DNA tests before but mum explained it’s when they do a swab in your mouth and it tells if you’re the dad. So if I have it, they can all shut 

I always though this wee boy looked like he hadnt even reached puberty, let alone be capable of fathering a baby......poor thing....I do feel sorry for him having been caught up in all this sad

Yep, that may well be the best thing that comes out of all this.
At least he can spend his pocket money on footy stickers and go go's as opposed to pampers and nipple pads.

When the story was originally in the paper I showed it to my 12 year old son as a "not what to do"! He was petrified as young Alfie looked younger than what he does.
I try to be very open about sexual matters with my son but I remember being so embaressed when my mother tried to talk to me at that age, that I never really listened. So all I can do is continue to tell him that I will always listen to him, whatever it is! And give him info by drip feed at opportune moments.
You can't help but wonder how this experience will effect young Alfie and his attitude to sex as he grows to maturity? It will be intersting to catch up with him in 10 years time. Will he be father to 6 kids by 6 mothers or in a monestery??? Let's just hope the rest of his childhood is less traumatic.
On a related note, I have just read in my local paper that the funding for Sex Ed had been withdrawn by the PCT for the over 16s in the local high school. Perhaps they think that its too little too late by then??? lol

I should imagine that the girl in the case is a little ashamed of herself... and the other boys , nervous!!
I wonder how old the other kids in the frame are... and whether some action is going to be taken now...

How very convenient for the young man to have had the DNA test now he's probably the most famous (non) father in the country after having his face on most of the front pages of national tabliod newspapers. confused
Would I do that to my son? No. I'd damn well have had him take the DNA test before he'd had his face published on anything and wo betide anyone who'd have published his photo without my say so being a minor. :? Begs the question what were his parents thinking? 'Oh, how cool, we can make a quick buck here.' *rub hands together at the thought of all the money*

if only...but i highly doubt it...she's probably opening her legs for the next boy that's showing an interest in her instead!
