The C word and the S word

Hello Guys
OK we all have different limits/boundaries, but for myself, in the Chatroom I really don't go for the "C" word when describing my wife's bits, and I don't like her being described as a "slut".
Does anyone else agree?
K
Cunt, a good Anglo-Saxon word. “Excuse my French”, why do we say that? The Normans have so much to answer for when it comes to suppressing us. They even managed to make us ashamed of our own language. Some say the word comes from the Latin for cone, but this is hard to believe when you consider that a form of the word cunt is in every Germanic language and in many used in polite terms with perhaps a tint of sexual embarrassment.
I do not find the word offensive when used correctly. I do find it offensive when used as an insult, normally by young males.
Slut, I do not use, but I have been told some consider it a term of endearment. I have such a name for a lady I am seeing. I would never use it except when speaking directly to her, and very likely fucking her. (Another Anglo-Saxon word I use freely in the right company.) As for the name I call my lady, I’m not telling you that or how it arose. That is between us.
There is a debate over the word "squaw". In the Indian community it is widely considered to mean cunt. So calling a woman squaw would be demeaning, reducing her to the one portion of her that the early Americans men where interested in. the converse side of the argument being that in derives from Algonquian not Mohawk, and the word means young woman.
As for words being offensive, it’s all in the intent. I have been offended being called ‘mate’.

I tend to agree with you on the C word, but I'm old so that might explain it. :giggle:
There was an interesting discussion on the use of the word slut here. ;)
Words are words, only you can change their meaning/reaction.
Th C word debate started here too;

words are our history and our very existance, they make communication easier, they have started wars and ended them, they have joined nations together and torn them apart, they have inspired great and bad actions, words are vital and just one word spoken at the wrong time or written in the wrong place can result in catastrophic consequences.
Remember the speech by the American President addressing the West German people in Berlin
He said "Ich bein ein Berliner"
Meaning
"I am a hamburger"
One single word can have an effect as great as the results of WWII
But it is not just you who can change thier meaning, using Germany again as an example it might be best not to offer them a gift since gift in german meant poison, coming up with a good perfume and calling it gift might not get the best results when marketing it there since the bottle would be labelled Poison to the locals (thought there is a perfume called poison that does ok in sales)
Snickers bars were remaned from marathon because in one country (i forger which) the company realised the word marathon would be bad a chocolate bar name.
Pukka pies could have done some better research ..... giggles

Just goes to prove what someone told me, “Most politicians are ham actors after your vote, and you should not believe a word they that brings 45 minutes to mind. That was an insult to Britain’s intelligence, but then since he sold it, it seems Britain is gullible when it comes to words.

Berliner=Donut

But not in Berlin.

The English language is wonderful, the best thing about words is that they can mean so many different things...no wonder people sometimes get the wrong end of the stick.
You can't influence how the words are said but you can surely influence how you react to them wink

Experience tells me that when a young woman calls me the C word, she is very close to being uncontrollably under my influences. It came as a surprise the first time, now it brings a smile to my face.
