what do you feel is important for your vote
i listed mine but this is what i feel is important issues to me
Ok in order for a party to obtain my vote
They need just a little hard ball and sense
1) Come up with a positive and realistic plan to pay off our horrendous national debt problem
2) Sort out the miss management of local councils, funds, corruption , bully boy tactics ,severance payments and so on and so on, with the return of the likes of the council worker (builders plumbers pavers ect )
3) Complete shake up of the benefit system with long-term unemployed forced back into work because it’s not a human right to leach off the hard work of others and long term sick benefit reduced to the same as jobseekers with added benefits for disabled, special needs ect and more stringent means testing to wheedle out the fakers there are still jobs you can do with a bad back!!
4) Better rewards for industries that wish to use and invest in our country and use its subjects for employment rather that tax them to death and scare them abroad and harsher taxes for companies that use cheap foreign labor like deli call centers
5) Invest in youth training for greener projects like making of solar panels (cheap unskilled labor becomes skilled labor earning a fitting wage for the job )and fitting to the homes of the needy ,old, disabled ect
6) And while I haven’t got a problem with immigration I feel a tighter control on it is needed even if its just knowing how many people are entering and leaving
7) The removal of all the different discrimination laws and replaced by just one plain discrimination law (all people are equal )
8) Overhaul of our out of date justice system I want the law to protect me and my family not some ,mugger , etc so soft judges to be retired off tougher sentences to be handed out and a min 2/3 of a sentence to be served
9) Class system removed (sorry to the Marxist) I mean drug classes 1 in 3 crimes is drug related so all classified to class A with shockingly big sentences for dealing and importation
10) Proper care for the old which means no heating bills in the winter , meals on wheels twice daily ,and regular care etc after all we wouldn’t be here if not for most of them

Any party that appeals to the worst in people, there greed, fear, prejudice, will not get my vote

Feck me Kaz, I want to vote for them also!
I will see If I can trck them down
i'd like to see a party fronted by someone who'se not a lawyer/accountant/ex public school 'old boys club' member who understands and listens to what the majority of the country actually want and who has a fucking backbone to stand up for the country, sort it out properly and stop trying to play 'Mr I am....' on the world stage
wishful thinking i think, uless we can resurect Mo Molem who had more balls and integrity than the rest of parliament combined worship

No's 1 and def no 2, no 3 most definatly,no 5 and no 6 and number 7 and number 8, number 9 and for sure no 10.
The ones above that definatly need to be sorted are no's 3 6 7 8 9 and 10, no 2 is something that should have been sorted out a few years ago, as should no 3

SO that's another cut and paste keyboard warrior heard from. Well done. I asked for an explanation of the whole paragrpah, which had some interesting things. Instead I got bullshit from the notorious liars at the Taxpayers Alliance and a collection of disconnected stories. I was hoping for better.
these argue my point far better than i ever could i went back 100 pages which equated to just 30 days news all bbc not tabloid
i pay for a service which i consider poor at it`s best with failure as an accepted daily routine
i have to deliver when someone pays me for a service or i risk falling foul of the trading standards (not that i have nor plan to )
tell me which parts interest you and i`ll try to elaborate in my best illiterate manner wink
i`m sure i can iron it all out for you

Completely agree with all you've said here, especially point number 2. The local councils of everywhere I've lived in England have done nothing but take money and give little back, it's like they've discovered they can take money with no ramifications. They charge over the top for every service they provide and all I've ever seen in return is them booking the local 5-star hotels for "meetings".
Apart from that, a politician that doesn't give out constant bullshit and claim expenses for it will do for me!
A good point is when you have a drop down kerb put in, so as to be able to get your car onto your driveway.
You cannot get anyone else to do the work, not even the Queens builders. You HAVE to use council workers or people sub contracted by the council.
Now I have two friends who tell me that if they were doing the job, it would cost about £ 350 maximum but, the local council charge in excess of £900. Now you have NO redress at all, either you pay the council their over priced ammount, or you cannot get it done.
But like in the next road to me last year, there were many residents who were just going up the pavement onto their property, so the local council sent out their clip board people only this time they had their nice new shiny cameras, and at they took pictures of every car that was parked on a drive, that did not have a drop down kerb.
They were then sent a picture of their car and were warned that if they continued to park that way, then the council would take them to court and a possible fine of......wait for it, £1500.
So mr Jones and his neighbours then contacted the council and said " we will put the drop down kerbs in ourselve ", to their suprise the council said " no you cannot it has to go through the council ".
At a massive cost over and above what a normal builder would charge. Sorry but they are a law amonst themselves and seem to be able to do anything they like, when they like.
I did hear about a month ago that two people down there had recieved summonses for continued parking on their drives, as they have not paid the crazy ammount of money they are asking for.
I would have thought that as long as a reputable builder did the work, and the council inspected the work, that it would not matter who did the work, but then the council would not make vast ammounts of money from doing that..............would they?
That is one reason why number two should be adopted.
Will just vote Labour always have always will as my beliefs are socialist. I do not vote for individuals and their personalities and will not get into individual parts of a manifesto.
Everyone is entitled to their views and I just hope people bother voting on May 6th whatever their political beliefs.

This is exactly what we're going through at the moment, except that our local council would charge us £1200, or they would send an "approved" contractor who's quote is about the same. A local building company quoted us £400 but said they would have to get council permission which would cost £800. Quite literally, highway robbery.
I don't think the UK could take a radical change right now. Its had it too good for too long and our people are not fit enough for a more rigorous regime.
I would increase self employment and make people accountable and responsible for what they can or can't do. there are too many bloated organisations carrying too many idle employees, charging for ridiculous profits and inflating the cost of living.
We need to make things and grow things.

Bit of a contradiction there surely !!!
No Flowers it isnt. It my view and thats what counts as I said, I can interpret the Labour Party as more aligned to my socialist views if I so choose to. I am not being aggressive here, I am just stating my belief which to me is important. I have a right to choose to who to vote for and I am happy to state who it will be.
Either the priate party or Libdems will get my vote... most likely the pirate party now after the anal democracy in this country recieved with the passing of the digital economy bill

In a nutshell, in that statement you have just summed up why this country is so messed up politically. The football team mentality, regardless of how incompetent, useless or corrupt the person standing is, if it wears a particular colour ribbon you'll vote for it. Politicians love people like that, it creates a nice safe seat system so any buffoon can be parachuted in to stand for election wether they give two monkeys for the district they're standing for or not.
Labour a socialist party, very comical, you are joking I take it?

Absolutely !!!
I wasn`t for a second questioning your right to state who you would be voting for !!
I was questioning the whole idea that the Labour party had anything even remotely to do with socialism !
I even checked various online dictionaries just to see if I was mistaken before I made my comment .......I cannot see any connection at all between Labour party policy (or even their actions) and Socialism....sorry.
I am not talking about voting because of Labour Party Policy. Policies change all the time and are written by civil servants based upon a manifesto once any party gets into power and ratified by Parliment. It is the underpinning values that I still believe are more in line with my thinking. Yes I could go for a more left of view party but I dont because I am a realist. I am far more cynical about individuals within a party now and career politicans but it wont change my values and where I think I should put my cross lol
I honestly believe the Labour party rejected their core principles on the day they voted to repeal clause 4 of their constitution showing themselves to be nothing but media friendly power whores...and yes before anyone says it is better to lose and retain your principles than to gain power by compromising them
Im with the handsome chap smoking the cigar on this one.
I don't disagree with that
i think we have a nation now that has ceased the necessity to provide for itself, and now just wants to be entertained.
as a result it may not have the necessary skills to elect the right kind of leaders.
So many things get me cross these days, I think it could be my age....
When i look around me in every place i go in the UK I see the reallity of what has been done to my country over the last 13 years by a Left wing government that has flooded the UK with Immigrants and European workers (by design) to create a multicultural society that i neither wanted or was consulted about.
I really detest those 'ISLAM 4 uk' Scumbags that parade their anti british hate on OUR UK streets and against our troops like they did in Luton.
The UK should adopt the Australian approach to migrants in the UK.

I will NOT be voting for the LIBS, CONS or LABOUR Parties.
Wake up and open your eyes as to what is happening to our country before it is too late.

I'm not.
I'm from a mining family.
Clause IV part iv (amazingly, not many people know that what was changed was only part of Clause IV, not the whole thing - maybe I was the only one who ever read the back of his party card) said nothing about giving power to workers. It was a license for Fabian bureaucrats to take over industries and run them how they saw fit. For all the menfolk in my family (a rugby teams worth, probably) who were still in the pits on vesting day in 1947 (one grandad was still banned for his striking activities) it meant that the same pit manager who was a prick the day before vesting day, was a prick and a civil servant the day after vesting day.
When we nationalized British Leyland it wasn't an act of socialism - it was an act of charity to the most inept group of managers ever to draw breath. We nationalized Northern Rock, and the poorly paid staff went down the road while the Chief Exec got generous compensation. Nationalization rarely changes the circumstances of the workers, and the Fabian language of Clause IV pt iv (to obtain FOR the workers... etc...) actually disempowers the very people it was supposed to be about.
Rant over...

Very true. It's not about race, creed, colour, religion etc. IMHO they're a smoke screen. It's about money and more importantly, power.
It's a big machine and we're all very small cogs and until a large number of the cogs wake up from their hum-drum and cosseted lives and start to revolt then it will always stay the same.
Marx said that religion was the opiate of the masses, which was partly right. Religion provided direction and entertainment at that time, but time moves on and religion has been replaced with 'lifestyle' and 'media'. So while we're happily lapping up whatever 'lifestyle' and 'media' we choose we're actually being good little drones and not rocking the boat or asking awkward questions. ;)
So to answer the OP's original question: I'll be voting for whoever I feel like on the day. It really makes no odds which shade of grey I choose. The country is run by civil servants and not those we elect. They're the constants within government and it's they who wield true power.

Oh and I would add the stupid "celebrity obsession" to the 'lifestyle' and 'media' you listed above.
