For the lexilagnic among us... keeping a note here of any new words I come across. Feel free to add your own!
For today:
clunge
fap
dissipation
I know 'clunge' from The Inbetweeners, but I'm curious to know what the others mean, and the context in which they were used.
Edit: It seems I guessed 'dissipation' correctly but I wouldn't have got 'fap' in a million years!
You mean there are actually members of this site who've only just today learned how to fap? Surely most people learnt how to fap long before they moved onto the joys websites like this one have to offer? confused
I do sometimes wonder if knowing this shit means I spend too much time on the wrong sort of websites? lol
I nearly spat my drink out when reading the definition here

interjection
onomatopoeia used to imply male masturbation.
Person 1: Check out this picture of my mom when she was younger.
Person 2: fap fap fap
:lol2:
Glad my mates were never like that.
I've been racking my brains trying to think of a new word I learned today... hmm I got up, had breakfast, went to work, got emails, got rid of spam hmmm not a single new word there, did paperwork, dealt with abusive clients (plenty of expletives, all of which I know by heart) more paperwork, met a few friends atfer work no new words.... hmmmm feeling inadecuate now!
I'm determined to lear a new word tomorrow!
(Does it have to be in English?)
i heard the word blumpkin a few weeks back this thread prompted me to look it up
wish i hadn`t now blink
I love words, and play around with words as often as I play around with people.
Well I'd never heard of "fap" or "blumpkin" eeeew!, whatever turns you on I guess. A word I heard very recently, and one which is self explanatory is "heteroflexible", which in many cases is a better definition than bi'....works for me anyway.

I should have taken you at your word, and not looked it up
Dave_Notts
To yet another phone call
"Have you heard of the Telephone Preference Service"
are the best words that we've learnt today - they can't apologise/get off the line fast enough

Okay I looked it up too. :scared:
Now I'm thinking that must have been a typo and they missed off the "f". ;)
years back, on my uni course, we decided that the word Dispungulate should mean "process of removing hair from bathtub drain.."

OK that was one word I didn't know eugh... but I can't believe it ever happens. The mechanics of it all wouldn't work (I think) confused
'Whinging as even.' lol
Ok so it's not a new word but I was bored having not seen a word today that I didn't know, so I came up with an anagram of swingingheaven.
I guess I need to get out more huh. wink
Tupping
Thanks to Ben for that one, but then again he does live in Wales?! lol

Y'see I don't find tupping an unusual word...maybe that's to do with my age...but wtf. Lets hope I'm still tuppin' ten years fromn now....but not wi' the sheep.
Technically not a word I learnt today, but it amazes me how often this one pops up on SH, with a respectable 8 pages of results in the profile search:
Forfill (as in "forfill my fantasies")
Maybe it's time the Oxford English dictionary conceded and gave it a listing? dunno
Similarly to "forfill" above, SH and the internet in general have introduced me to a new body part I never knew I had: a "tounge".(As in "I flicked my tounge between her thighs", etc etc. )
I suppose we're taking this thread off at a tangent really, or should I say a "toungent". All your fault, Cubesie! lol

Haha, did you and your friends actually use it? Lexicon rebels!

Forfill (as in "forfill my fantasies")

Heh! I love it. The one I can't stand is "masterbate" (about 6 pages worth). But yes, "tounge" is the undeniable winner there! 19 pages, that's like 570 profiles that spelt it wrong! Mind you, I have a proper childhood memory of the moment I laboured over learning to read and write this particular word.
blumpkin haha. What was the other one that some of us learnt (but obviously now forgotten!) on here a few months back, it was snowballing but involving a different bodily fluid... ahem!
OK this week's meagre collection:
inscrutable
landlubber
acolyte
rhizomatic
Idiot
A word I'd long since forgotten, but was re-introduced to today.
