It's a lot of work for one person, so the more good and genuine folks out there being his eyes and ears, the better and smoother this site will run.
I must say... this whole bizarre situation of 'professionals' blatantly ignoring (in some cases repeated) requests to not use the site for commercial ends is in fact making me very anti-prostitute. And I'm a live and let live bunny rabbit at heart... But they just won't listen, will they!
i was looking through earlier this morning and saw one ad asking for hard up students who wanted to be paid, i can't remember the ad number, but if i come across it again, what do i do?

Why do we have banners at the top of the site leading to sites charging per minute on your phone line to look at some pictures?
I hasten to add I have not used them.
I know it is the buyer beware and all that.
These are rip off sites and should not be encouraged.
Is this double standards???

This site is free, and Mark and everyone I've spoken to about this (me included, I talk to myself!) believes it must stay free!! However, there are costs involved, and no matter how many good intentions you have it's not cheap to maintain a site as large as this, with all its required bandwidth without some small subsidies. Mark doesn't run the site to make a profit, and in fact there's talk around about that any small amount left over after paying out for the site may be ploughed back into the community - what a generous chap he is! ;)
Some people will always choose to use premium rate number to supply their.. requirements. No one forces anyone to click on the banners and download a dialer. I don't think it's double-standards at all. And if some people want to help subsidise my FREE fun then good luck to them!

If that happens again then please PM a moderator or Mark and the offending ad will be removed and the person emailed/banned etc.
Ads are read and if they ask for a fee or offer a fee then they are dealt with, what is more difficult to work with is if they don't mention fees in the ad but subsequently ask for or offer money later during personal emails or PMs - again, please tell someone who can deal with it rather than having a bad impression of the site.

:) Just a quickie to say 'Well Done' to Mark and all the mods for making this such a great site. Especially their work in policing the chatroom, there's nothing worse than uninvited pm's, though if any cpls see me in the room and fell the overwhelming urge, you have my permission - lol.
Not only does Mark need to cover hosting and bandwidth costs, the sheer effort involved in keeping the site ticking over is non-trivial.

I contacted a female advertiser on this site (can't remember her advert number, but she said she was Bournemouth based) and after a couple of e-mil exchanges she kept inundating me with emails with an attachment which automaticly downloaded a dialler.
I' didn't fall for that one, but it's ppl like that that give this wonderful free site, a bad name.
Well done Team, and hoping to meet a genuine woman or couple soon.

Think this same 'bournemouth' advertiser was brought to the mod's attention just yesterday via the 'report this ad' button. If you have the email address please send it me and I'll take a look!
ah! Then you'll find that the advert no longer exists - thanks for bringing it to our attention. No-one mentioned the dialler though - the funny code seen could have been that.
Others here are more 'techie' than me so if it's a technical issue please send it to Mark - all Mod's can push the delete button (though I think I enjoy it the most ha ha ha!!) so just send it on.

I want to raise this issue again quickly as we still get the odd post offering services for money or selling things, such as vids and DVDs. Please remember that Swinging Heaven is a free site for swingers - people looking to be paid for anything at all will have their post (at best) edited, but most probably deleted. You could also be banned from the site. If you want to be paid for services there are plenty of other sites to advertise on, please do not abuse the ethos of Swinging Heaven by posting for payment here.

I've looked at other swingers' sites (no name, no packhorses, but starts adult... and ends up with no service at all until they get your credit card details) and they aren't a patch on yours.

One (possible more) of the ads in the banner at the top looks interesting - so interesting that paying a fee/minute is ok BUT the 'viewer' program required (i.e. dialler) actually contains a virus, and got cuagt by McAfee.
Now, there's no point in me, a mere potential punter, complaining to them, even if we knew how/where, but this site is effectively a customer of theirs, so your voice should carry some clout...

Point agreed. I wasn't complaining about the banner ads. We all need income, and if the small amount of advertising this excellent site carries covers the operating costs, then so be it - it really isn't an issue. At least the ads stay in one place!
My comments were with regard to the mischief those adverts get up to - without your knowledge or agreement. What possible benefit can those organisations get by including a virus with their download - or are their sysops so uninformed, lazy or too busy to notice?
