I told you I had friends in low places. I am now in possession of 5 bogof tickets for Alton Towers plus a further 5 Â£7 off singla admission to Alton Towers. Add that to the 5 that we should have tomorrow and we can get 20 ppl into the park @ half price. Whoo Hoo. Prob now is tho that we have to meet outside the park so I can give em ya. They are available on a first-come first-served basis. Shout if you want one.

Havent been to alton towers for 6 years, sounds like fun.
Bit of a newbie on here but it would be nice to meet up and have a chat and a laugh biggrin

Just turned 50 and the rides might give me a cardiac lol But i'm intersted :D

Sorry mollman, and all the others going sad

But ive just found out since getting in from work that a prior cancelled engagement has just been un - cancelled! Even though i'll be up that way i dont think i will be able to make it for definate. So i'd better say no :(
Hopefully i will get to meet some of you on here at another time smile

Hi Guys,
Only just picked up on this thread.....I would *sooooo* liked to have been a bit more on the ball !!!
If anything like this comes up again, I've got a car and it's no probs with lifts and things - Also don't mind helping out with orgainising stuff too - just give me a scream on the email!

I now have the scratchcard type thingy's. So anyone going via Chesterfield who wants to call in and pick them up, you are welcome to them. Alternatively, most of you know by now that I'm discreet enough to send me their address......if so....PM me and I'll post them on to you. must know before tomorrow lunchtime if I'm to post them though.

I told you I thought that the Nemesis was the best ride in the UK (Excluding Mrs PLC of course). biggrin

Having said that the monorail and the cable cars were an experience wink

We both had a terrific day, and the weather probably added to it rather than detracted from it, after all, we went to ride the amusements not sunbathe! smile

May I also mention, that following the road signs out, and actually expecting to reach your chosen destination in the vicinity of the place is a pipe-dream. We had an extra ride around the roadworks and one-way system of Stoke, and everyone we asked for directions insisted on calling me 'mi duck'! How is it possible to live within 5 miles of a motorway and not know where it is? three times we asked for directions, and three times we got answers that were,shall we say, less than helpful lol

Let me say this once more (Especially for Mrs DJCouple :lol: ), It was an exceedingly good day with great people. Thanx everyone.

Mr PLC I'm really glad that everyone had a fab time as im such a generous soul. It was a complete cock up with my work diary and im sorry i had to work instead of having a laugh with you lot.
