I am currently waiting confirmation PMs from .....
Windsurfer

Tang,
I spoke to Windsurfer on the phone earlier and he's now away for New Year's celebration and won't be back online till Friday probably - but he seemed pretty positive he was coming! ;)
Mandy

Dominic

in anticipation

Hi guys,
Can you please PM Tangbmc with your interest as he's been co-ordinating things so far... and it's not easy! worship
If however you've not heard anything back then drop me an email or a PM (preferably with your mobile number) and I'll send you my mobile number so we can make sure noone misses out on vital info!
There's the distinct possibility that there will be a third girl there tomorrow night, but I'll leave it to her to announce herself on the forum if she wants to. Looks like a nice-sized group of people for a meet, to me.. and who knows, if this works out okay, we could make it a semi-regular occurrence! smile
Looking forward to meeting you all!
Mandy
Hi all,
I just want to make sure that every one is happy with arrangements for tomorrow - pls let me know if you need any further info.
Looking forward to it......
Tang
Tang, do I bring Bagpuss?? smile
Mandy
Mandy,
Baggy is guest of honour!!!! Looking forward to seeing you all later.
Cheers,
Tang
Hi Everyone,
I'm trying really hard to get to the munch tonight, but the train times are a nightmare. Is anyone else going from the bournemouth or southampton area that would be so kind as to give me a lift perhaps?
Pretty please! :rose:
Hi Red,
I don't suppose you can get to Bognor or Chichester itslef or any mainline station from Postsmouth on... Let me know if you can and we will sort something out.
Tang
Sorry guys,
Something's come up at the last minute and I'm unable to come tonite.
I'm not very happy about it, but nothing I can do I'm afraid. I feel really bad about it, particularly as I'm right on the doorstep and others are making the effort from miles away.
I'm not sure what time you will all leave, I may be able to make it alot later, I'll pop in in case you are all still there.
Hope I haven't upset anyone,
Apols,
Have a great night!
Tom redface
Hi Tang,
Thank you for offering, but my problem is actually getting to Chichester in the first place, the farthest i can travel is to southampton (and even that's a struggle)!! So, it seems like i wont be going after all, but I hope you all have fun tonight :evil2:
Sab :rose:
A knight in shining armour has come to the rescue, it seems, and Cinderella (Red!) will go to the ball! Thanks "S"!!! smile
Tom, sorry to hear about the hiccup - if you can make it along later (and I hope you can) the I suspect we may still be there - look out for Bagpuss! :)
Mandy
Oooh, I love it when a plan comes together.....
Damn shame I am working this evening, as the other half is down from Yorkshire for the weekend. Would have been fun (I think) to put faces to names and all that.
Have to see if we can try to get to another - me being in essex and her being in yorks means we're fairly flexible about where in the country we can visit (if any interested females are reading), have car and will travel ;)
Hope you all have fun and maybe see you at the next one - where ever that may be....
Well a good time was had by all, I hope.
It was a smaller than anticipated meet with only 4 of us making it along, although we almost had 6 but one got lost (Wandered!) and one fell asleep (shame on him - punishment may be delivered should the opportunity arise!!). smile
It was great to put faces to nicknames: Tangbmc, RedVelvet and Shod81 (our very own knight in shining armour) and a nice chance for people of mixed experience to share thoughts, accounts of experiences and laughs... not to mention enjoying the odd mutterings of barmaid and quite bizarre (not so) background music. Still it was probably handy that the music was quite loud most of the time due to the topics of conversation in an almost deserted pub... but I think they tried to catch us out a few times by turning the music off every now and again in something reminiscent of "pass the parcel"!
It was great to meet people with no expectations for the evening and fortunate too as nothing developed but a few pictures for RedVelvet's portfolio! :)
Hopefully we make this a semi-regular occurence and build on the people who attend, especially if people have more notice and aren't feeling the effects of the recent festivities!
Thanks to everyone who made it, or even tried hard to do so... look forward to meeting you all again in the future.
Mandy
Nicely said Mandy... Have you considered a job in PR?
We had a really nice time chatting and fending off the landlady... Looking forward to the next time already
