Hi folks just checked out site suggested by bifem seem s ok can hold 50 people and has an ibis hotel within easy reach only prob is w/ends are awkward for them but thursday nights are pretty free and would cost £50 plus a deposit for breackages includes use of bar and background music not realy sure what else would be required as never had the pleasure of attending a munch.
This is a very safe venue popular with the gay community and fetish scene peeps no larger louts etc.
The only other place i know of is in southampton if ne one wants to get info from there let me know and i will let you know the venue.(attended swingers parties there in the past but landlords are a bit sensitive about any action taking place on the premises)
described our get together as a social event not confident enough to say it was for a load of sex maniacs lol
let me know what you think and possible dates and we can take it from there.

Hi guys, we've met a cpl who have great contacts on the swinging scene in Portsmouth.
They know of a place, pub with an upstairs function room that we could probably get.
They have a lete night license etc
We will find out more soon but it sounds like the right thing.

Still waiting for PJ and VFR to get back as I think they were looking into things PJ in particular with a possible venue I have told him though that it might be better for all concerned that it be held possibly at a weekend say on either a Friday or Saturday evening that way I feel more people may be able to attend without worrying about work etc.

If I am correct in that asumption surely you could just have one in virtualy any pub, no real need to arrange funtion rooms you would just need to get to the venue at reasonable time to ensure everyone go a seat in the same area.
Or am I mistaken?

I'm pretty sure I have seen threds and other posts asking more or less the same thing.
Not sure about you but I would not feel to cumfortable going to my local BeefEater with 50 other like minded people and having to watch what is being said about our experiences and other sexual encounters
I would prefer if this was done with the landlords/ owners permission and possilbly out of the gaze and earshot of the straightlaced general public . As for people "Fucking" as you so delicatly put it , that would be up to the people to make their own arrangements to find somewhere for their activities as I am sure that fornication in public is still ileagle and even private clubs have to have some sort of license. I do apologise for my less than polite terminology however I felt it neccessary to avoid any potential misunderstanding as to what I was refering to (seeing as I was potentially labouring under a false impression as to what a 'munch' actually was) and using terms such as 'touching' or 'contact' may have caused some confusion.
Personally I would have no qualms what so ever about sitting in the corner of a pub chatting about stuff, although I do recognise and respect that others may feel more comfortable doing this elsewhere.

Finding it hard to get the location previously mentioned on a friday or saturday as it doubles up as a second bar at week ends and not to keen on letting out for private does.
TY to surrey cpl for asking that ? i was getting quiet worried as the boundries of a munch did seem to be getting a bit blurred and getting a bit concerned as to what i was letting myself in for
Do have another place in mind will get a cost and possible dates for a weekend over the next cpl of days .

Personally I think there is quite alot of confusion with regard to terminology, thats why its sometimes best to just call a 'spade a spade' or a 'fuck a fuck'.
Maybe the site needs a glossary!!! :-)
