manchester xmas social 17th december pm's sent

well after yet another quality social nite out for gems birfday
'well as they say xmas is coming the goose is getting fat put a old penny in the old trannies(judy) hat'
so after a chat with manchesters favourite trannie i would like to ask sh regulars to give some imput into what is a good nite to meet up and where etc
for my 2 pences worth
i think 1 of our wednesday nite with say a meal followed by tripping the lite fantastic round the rest of the village
as this is a special it is for regular known members
so plz new sign ups plz don't ask as when we say no we don't want to offend
so get your brains in gear and fingers tapping plz
numbers for a meal may be numbered so will b on a 1st cum 1st on list but you can always meet up after for a drink

post as been edited and venue was only a suggestion will any1 else with idea for venue plz pm myself

Why not carry on the tradition of all organisations and xmas do's and have it this month? :grin:
I cannot remember the name, but the only restaurant I know of in the village which is nice (i.e. only one i been in) is the one with the goldfish in the floor.
Either that or there's plenty of chinese round the place. Y'know, modern traditions and all that.....

well we not an organisation we is a number of member (some bigger than others ) from here who rebel against tradition so december cool for us and the pengiuns we going to invite
also gives time to organise

Dewi, I can PM you at least six that are superb and all are within a few hundred yards of the one you have mentioned and ALL on the same Street too. We have eaten in three of them over the last 5 weeks which many of us can recommend. If you take the full length of the village I can give you 12 I have eaten in and found to be excellent , all in the village. One of them won the accolade of Best Bistro bar in the city for 2003/4 and was filmed on both national and local Television when it was presented with the award. It won it by individual votes cast too, not by any committee or set of judges.

I personally could do any of the Wednesdays, but I think it is fair to make it a Sat so people who can only do weekends can come along to this one. However, the Wigan Munch is on the 3rd and something else on the forum I think is on the 10th, so that only leaves the 17th.
