its not the serendipity comment at all.....that was easily cleared as before posting i had checked with admin on here and also dino on other site. Don't really want to get to much into it...but the numbers going was a concern...although i think that could have been cleared easily by having ajoining fields.. there were other concerns which to be honest i am more pee'ved about...as said don't want a slanging match,....and it was never my intention to cause trouble and so i'm moving venue.

its not about site politics its purely numbers as I see it
the site in question and i mean the camp site has a no groups rule, that came into force after our last camp which was massive.
my concern and that is what ive asked others about is
if we are tryng to split up and make it look like its not a group camping
how on earth are we gonna fit another 80 - 100 people into it??? it just wouldnt work
yes I would love to atttend a mids room camp but I will be honest would prefer another date.
then its purely a mids room occasion.

I am going to hold my hands up as one of the people on the 'other' site who voiced concern.
First of all ALL parties were not asked if this merging was ok at all. Only the organiser was.
Secondly - the issue was not at all about any of you guys coming - our concern was the huge supergroup that appeared to be forming. Seperate fields with a communal area would have been fantastic
Thirdly WHY THE HELL should we move our weekend???? Swingcamp has been a SS and now a SF event for three times in a row now - why the hell should we give it up so someone else can jump on it???
I don't believe anyone asked you to move the venue Dean - I think you are overreacting to the whole thing AND making us look bad in the process.
Chaotic - I see what you are saying about people having a problem with what was happily agreed on then they shouldn't go - but it was only ever 'happily agreed on' with the organiser - none of the participants were consulted first on changing the event.
But all of the above is just my opinion (as I said, as one of the few who voiced concerns)and I STILL don't see why Dean has moved the venue - No one asked him to just to clear that up.

Well hello as you are looking for a new site for us all to have a great weekend Dean do you think it possible we can have a caravan / camping week-end as a few of us have already got caravans and reading through posts theres a few more that will join us if they can bring there caravans too as like us most have already booked time off work so that would be better all round we thinks but then its only our suggestion ok thanx hope to here from you soon cock.

Not sure I care about the politics here but lets not let it affect a great weekend. Maybe you could start a new thread with the new date ?????????????????? Just looking forward to a nice weekend with a few fellow members in a very social way. Well done for the work you have done up till now by the way!!!!!!!
i suppose i'm just going to have to suffer with the dilemma of picking which set of friends i wish to go with, which is an uncomrfortable position but i would like to make known to everyone as a whole, that whichever event i do choose to attend it is not a personal attack to the other.
sorry i dont usually post but i think we all forgetting this is suppose to be a fun weekend who gives a dam bout politics and i can see the numbers can get out of hand which cud be an issue but im sure we are all adults so wot ever dean wants to go with we are cool with come on folks lighten up

thanks for all the suport it is appreciated.... i have a couple of in at the moment with sites and just waiting to see if anything comes of it.... one way or another we wil find somewhere...
