There is a stadium at Sunderland and one in Newcastle, presume they are very similar in operation.
Put "Sunderland greyhound stadium" in google and you can see their site. Saves a link anyway. Think its on every Wed and Sat night and there are various entrance packages availible, especially for groups.
As I said also not far from a well known swingers club.

I agree. I started swinging and going to clubs when I was with my ex. She didn't like it so we stopped going and then after she had an affair, I kicked her out and wanted to continue on my own. Unfortuantely, I find I have suddenly grown two heads and become a monster as I'm single!!
I have my son most of the week so any free time I get, I spend with friends or I try to arrange private meets so eiven if I did decided to couple up, a social thing is not for me.
I hope it goes well for those who attend.

Just for the record - I object to the philosophy of the couples only thing - there are people now in the couple category who, not that long ago, were single and complaining rather vocally about the exclusion of single males (especially) from invitations. Smacks of hypocrisy frankly.
Not that either my partner or I can bowl in a straight line.

Hows about we all go and find a thread where we all disagree with whatever they are doing, and regardless of how much fun the ppl involved are having, all have a whine about it?. Oh no. We don't need to. Everyone is already doing it here.

Yep, it was me that said it and I will say it again. The exclusion of the 'singles' in SH social events is not part of the SH ethos. If the couples want to organise an exclusive event then the best place to do it is in PM or email. Otherwise you stand accused just the same as those who try to decide who can or cannot go to munches.

A "munch" is an oddity that has been concieved by SH and seems to work well for most people. Long may they continue to do so.
Our little events however bear about as much relationship to a munch as as chalk does to cheese. If we are making comparisons, lets at least compare like with like.
The answer is really quite simple. If you dont like what we do, dont join in. If you do, come and join us.
Why all the concern over events that are at most, attended by only a handful of couples ?

Now that's FUNNY! Thanks.. you are so off the line you have no idea. LITTLE events is a good term.
Don't presume to tell me the answer. It's not that simple and it's being debated right now. Once WE have got an answer WE will let you know, OK???
It may well be that WE decide to allow your exclusive little club to continue to post events on SH pages. It may well be that WE decide not to because you're excluding single people from them. Either way, wait and see.

I don't intend to delete OR lock this thread. I'm having a good time with the debate. Seems like I'm not alone in my confusion and haven't really had an answer as to why it needs 'even numbers of male and females' to do things like hillwalking and bowling.
My support is not required. Thanks for the flattery. The WE I was referring to is the Mods... and it is being discussed. I can't see that being different to any other concern that the Mods, or a Mod has, so why the big fuss??
