Well karma is finally paying us back, the planets have aligned and we finally get to go out to VA again Saturday 20th.
We're normally one of the first in the Jacuzzi, as hubby likes to get in a few lengths before it get busy... rotflmao

this will probably upset somebody, but we're just not enjoying going to VA anymore.
perhaps the fantasy of going is more fun than the actual reality...
and the reason?
The guys.
We look at the ladies and most of them have made an effort with dressing up, hair, makeup whatever--they look like they are out to attract.
Unfortunately a lot of the guys, and too many, just look as though they can't be arsed.
Casual shirts, jeans. Where the hell is the effort?
We know it's not "formal" or a black tie do, but where is the dress to impress from the fellas?
It's almost as if the women are expected to do all the work, which to us is just not on. My wife is part of the experience as well, she would like someone to at least go to some trouble of putting on there best bib and tucker.
Sorry but checked shirts hanging over beer bellies just don't do it for her.
With the ladies that's not so much of an issue ;)

Aye it was fairly busy for a standard couples night, and a broad spectrum of ages and sizes.
Still no excuse not to make effort though smile

As t'wife says, we're dressing up to go out--we very rarely get the chance so we like to look different to how we normally look.
Otherwise it's just workaday clothes.
We've certainly had some interesting pms from people who feel the same, so it's not just us.
C'mon guys, what's so hard about looking attractive for the ladies...?
Don't they deserve it too? Or do you just expect to dive in once your other half has secured you an opening?

As someone who doesn't have a dress to impress outfit and doesn't feel has the figure to get one, never wears make up and only has nice hair for an hour after a visit to the hairdressers, I have only visited VA once and found it a bit intimidating. However what I would like to know is what is appropriate for the guys to wear to VA and other similar clubs?

I have never been to VA,but i have been to a few other clubs. im a shirt and jeans kinda guy lol

bimbo likes to dress up a little but im more for casual comfort, don't get me wrong im cool with guys who like to suit up,but if it was compulsory i wouldn't all about choice and taste, some ladies like the more casual some don't.

Well how about black pin-stripe trousers, crisp white or blue shirt and polished black shoes--
think the whole thing was <£50
You don't have to go all Barney Stinson and wear a perma-suit, more James Bond with his jacket and tie removed!!!!!!!!
Otherwise it's just a pub with benefits...
Casual comfort for us is.....butt naked--doesn't come more casual or comfortable than that lol

yeah..sorry...we went, Nic was lush as ever...but I had jeans boots shirt untucked and a jacket.
Guilty as charged.
