We are also missing what ever it is.
He needs to do what someone else suggested another guy should do, copy and paste into a word document to pick up the errors.
Yes, that's all that counts - it is a sex site after all

Hi there
Okay I'm trying to see what this thread was about and I might have lost the plot completely here. I know it's a sex site of sorts, but surely it doesn't need to take up 100% of the conversations.
I'm a newbie(ish) and only just slightly past the curious stage. My hubby is sort of interested but more reserved than I want to be. I want to get to know people a little first, okay some innuendo and flirting, but the direct 'fancy a shag' line does sod all for me.
Surely, as in all walks of life, courtesy and politeness costs nothing when you first approach someone - and it's likely to get you a lot further lads!!!!!
Well - just tell me to shut up if I've got things wrong.
Love, Alex
Hi Alexandra
Welcome (back) to SH!
I'll agree with you that a polite and respectful approach to making contacts is infinitely preferable to the 'Woman wanted for shagging' routine - which is why quite often when the latter approach is used the poster tends to get some stick. This is done largely in a goodnatured if bantering style - so a sense of humour is essential round here!
In the short time that I've been on SH I've read and contributed to a number of threads, and not all of them have been directly sex-related - which is the beauty of this site. Yes, recreational sex between consenting adults may be its primary aim, but there is an awful lot more to the majority of people on here.
Some of us have already agreed that our initial reasons for joining the site have changed and we remain for the sake of the friendships we've formed.
Have fun in the forum
Sappho xxx
Thanks Sappho
What a very well worded and succinct reply.
Perhaps some of the young (and not so young) guns might take heed.
And lets face it - sex between friends is so much better anyway and speaking as a woman, a hell of a lot safer too!
Plus the fact - if you know the other person(s) a little - you can have the confidence to see the funny side. A stranger could take offence.
Love, Alex x
Just a thought from a newbie: having a quick shag with someone you have only just met is, well, just sex, isn't it? If that's all that is wanted, it would be quicker, easier and less complicated to just go and pay for it - there are plenty of 'lady offers massage' adverts in my local paper.
Whereas, MAKING LOVE, with some you know reasonably well (or very well) is an altogether more pleasureable and meaningful experience, isn't it? Or am I missing the point?
The point is that people (usually guys) find a site such as this one and assume that they can put a post or two on the forum or an ad in the ads section and get as much free sex as they want, when they want. They think this because to many the word "swinger" means "easy lay". It is indeed true that these people should do us all a favour, put their hand in their pocket and go and pay for sex.
I think you are missing the point slightly, Orinoco - it isn't about "making love", many of us on here want sex, pure and simple without the emotional involvement we normally associate with "love". Having said that, many swingers want to make friends as well as find sexual contacts, but even in those situations "making love" is probably too strong a term.
What I complain about is that people put ads on here that are so ill-considered and impolite that wven the most raving of nymphomaniacs would be put off by them. My advice would be - don't say anything on here that you wouldn't say to someone in real life. How many of you go up to complete strangers and say "Fancy a shag, darlin'?" and expect to get one?
A few thoughts from the UN observer:
Firstly, It is obvious that Bluexx's point is correct: we all came here seeking the same product. One wouldn't come here to find the Christian Union (although the WI has found it's way in).
Secondly, be that as it may, Sappho has hit in on the head. Although the old urges might have got us to the front door, it soon becomes obvious that much more is on offer. People quickly find that satisfying the old urges in a 'community' of like-minded, friendly, accepting and interesting people is actually infinitely better. It's classic Maslow-they find that their 'higher' needs-friendship, recognition, social interactionetc-are also met. Result: Heaven(swinging)
Thirdly, having spent most of my life among the 'beasts of the field' I would like to think that I exhibit at least some signs of superior evolutionary progress-apart from not getting eaten that is. However, even Billy Bull and Tommy Tup go through extended courtship and 'flirting' rituals before they get to dance the dance of the eight legged beast. Failure to do this leads to a swift hoof in the codpiece. So if 750 kg of prime steak can't just drop his Calvin Kleins and wack out the old cowbeater, why would i think I could?
Fourthly, in terms of enjoyment/satisfaction, if it's a choice between a quick McDonalds Drive Thru, or a four course meal with old friends, I know where my vote is!
So, as the Ancient Mariner said:
'Fancy a Shag' is fine if it's a Cormorant you're after.
I think the blame for the 'fancy a shag' brigade can, at least in part, be laid at the feet of pornographers from home and abroad.
As men are the main consumers of porn, we grow up in an age where women are thought to be constantly 'hot and ready' and 'gagging for YOUR cock". This is what porn teaches us - it seems ridiculous, looking back, that the woman is said to be 'hot and ready' for the hairy shouldered, pot-bellied men who are about to gang bang her. It gives men totally unreasonable expectations, so that some people think just spouting a line like that and showing a picture of a hard on will have the women falling at their feet.
As a raging-hormoned 17-year-old, I myself fell into this trap until I learned to talk to women and gauge responses. I'm glad I did because not only has it proved useful when using services such as this, but also in the real world. It makes you a more rounded and understanding person.
Hey, no-one embraces porn more than me!
I just think that, going off personal experience, it all makes it look so easy to 'get a shag' when in fact it's not.
I have absolutely no doubt that the vast majority of porn does not show women in a negative light, but that doesn't stop me getting upset when I see a woman in a film who isn't enjoying herself.
Friends again?
Mr W
I understand what you were trying to say.
I have no problem with porn, in fact much of it can be very artistic. But the people of little intellect can get the wrong impression, just in the same way that they can by watching a violent program on TV. It is a refelection on them - not the media.
But I just wanted to tell you - I understand!!!

No, I think you just about summed up this thread perfectly 8)
about time we put this one to bed
