yes were one of these newbies to the forums that wasnt given a invite ( well not yet at least ) and yeh the q is how do we gt known without attending we have used the chatroom for a few months now and have had an add on here for about a year or so to the question of safty as ourselves being managers of a different group we can see that that is why in our pm to u we offered u our phone number what coulkd be easier than u to call us to confirm well we do hope to attend one of these munches at some time but it looks even if we do get an invite it may not be possible for us to attend anyhow well hope all u that are going have a good time and enjouy urselves but do appreciate ther is newbies to this forum her not newbies to swinging thanks anyhow xxxxx

I think the point is, to get known in the forum; not everyone will have seen you in the chatroom or even in the ads. The organiser has obviously set boundaries as far as joining dates etcetera and she has pointed out her reasons and other peoples' concerns. You have to accept these graciously and not complain about them. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to attend other meets and munches...you have only to look at the list on the 'let's meet up' forum to see them.

well i think u have misinterprited our reply we were merley saying that were not newbies and we understand these conserns and why this set of rules were implimented but also to consider othres aswell (esp if a phone number was offered if invite was considered) oh and we should in this free world of ours be able to voice our oppinion on given circumstances if we feel we want to. WE do hope this forum dosent disapear into the pple who know eachother all so well and form a click where noeone else is considered fit untill they have served a few months posting as we did say were both managers of another swinging site and do try to welcome new members into munches socials and parties but we also have our rules wen doing that one is a phonecall witch we beleve could have or should have sufficed but then it isnt our party or our desission as to who is invited .Hope u all have a gr8 time at ur mini munch and possibly well goto one ourselves sometime

I would hate this to develop into an argument - I cannot see in my inbox firehott any record of your pm. I have replied with a confirmation to everyone who has pm'd with regards this meet and there is no record in my sent box there either.
I was trying to explain that it wasnt about 'clique' or anything as such and did say I was sympathetic as we had all been in the same boat at one time or other. It is about VERY new members to the forum - some as in your case, joined the forum on the day or a few days previously to the meet being advertised. I would hope that you will expect the same time, care and effort put in to your future meets with regards to your safety; either personal or 'press wise.'
As I don't have a pm from you to refer to (pls send again and apologies if I did miss you) I wasn't to know that you went in the chatroom - your nickname in there would be helpful.
Also you mention that you are managers on another swinging site - well hopefully you'll know how sensitive these things can be.
