My first MMF involved a good friend, who incidentally is still a good (non sexual) friend. The first time happened when we were all a bit drunk, and it turned out really well. The second time was a tad more planned and even better cos it was a full swap (ie the males played with each other not just me :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: . ) We called it a day after that though cos they reckoned things would get complicated......... humph 
I'm glad it happened like that, I don't think i would have felt as confident with a stranger.
A while later, I did go through a phase where I only wanted to swing with strangers, but I'm not fussed now. Strangers are good, kind of a buzz in a club, but I'm happy to swing with people that I consider friends from here and I don't think it's complicated at all.
I guess it's all about perspective.

We prefer to play with strangers and we discovered that swinging clubs were ideal for this. 
This is of course, our own preference.
We tryed several options for 3somes, friends is a bad idea and private meets did not suit us, for many reasons.
If you become a regular at clubs, eventually you will meet people who suit what your looking for and vice versa.
We now have many play mates, and together we have fulfilled a variety of sexual experiences and fantasies.
This gives you the option of being selective, to suit your sexual perferences.
For us to be open and comfortable with someone, respect, trust and mutual sexual gratification is the key :wink:

Also it makes things very awkard whenever you see that friend again, because you always wonder whether sex is now expected or going to happen, and you compare yourself to him.

ps. Stranger not friend is our recommendation. We lost good friends through playing with them. There's plenty out there without playing too close to home.
