Yes I've noticed all the English commentators making much of that. I guess their memories carefully leapfrog Wembley 1999.

EXACTLY Tune
I do believe that was a Scott Gibbs try right at the end. Did he not side step nearly the whole English defence that day to give WALES 32-31 win. Now that was a game !!!!!!
And to be honest guys and gals....at least Wales win by scoring tries unlike England who gives the ball to Johnny to put between the posts. confused

Jonathan Davies made a big thing of the 1988 win too. Probably because he got to show clips of him running about a bit.

When they played at Wembley it was classed as a home game for Wales whilst the Millenium Stadium was being built, hence it not counting as a Welsh win at Twickenham!!

When they played at Wembley it was classed as a home game for Wales whilst the Millenium Stadium was being built, hence it not counting as a Welsh win at Twickenham!!

'Twas an odd year indeed. But as you say it was classed as a home match but merely proved that Wales can beat England in England more frequently than every 20 years. And class it was too! biggrin

Oh the joy of seeing Wales win biggrin

I have to liven up my usual dreary work by supporting Portugal or Croatia at football. Now the rugby team have done it again. Some nose rubbing going to be had at work tommorrow :mrgreen:
