A tad intimidated...

All,
while I'm not quite new to the site (been registered for some time now) I still find participating in the lifestyle a tad intimidating. It's not that I worry about my performance - as someone else said, even if it is droopy, god gave men a tongue and two hands full of fingers (unless you work at a sawmill :shock smile

so pleasing someone is always possible.
No, the problem seems to be more along the lines that (a) I'm a "single" male - my sex drive is a lot higher than my partner's, so she's OK with me to play because she knows our relationship is secure but she doesn't want to partake in this kind of spare time activities - and (b), I'm rather inexperienced in the more advanced techniques of having sex/making love (no 'A' levels, no DP etc). While I appreciate that most people are looking for someone who fulfills their exact criteria, how does one get started if one isn't endowed with extraordinary good looks, hung to the envy of the neighbour's horse and has fifty years worth of experience in pleasing couples and women?
Please don't get me wrong - as a single male in this couple-dominated scene I know that I have to work harder to get my foot in the door, so to speak, and I'm not having a whinge here either. I'm genuinely curious and appreciate that I may need some tips (maybe my profile isn't that great?) and maybe some coaching.

The only real tip is just be yourself and let others decide if they like you. I think above all, the thing most valued on this site is honesty and if you try to obscure your true personality to get a fuck then (a) you'll eventually be sussed and (b) will you truly feel good about yourself?
There are a stack of single men on here who certainly do not lack attention from the ladies and they achieve that by having great personalities and a true appreciation of women. We women are not that hung up on looks, we like integrity, warmth, confidence, humour and a big... heart... ;-)

Sound advice from Wibbly there.
The place is not necessarily couples dominated but generally you'll find that the singles who stay the distance are quality individuals (speaking as part of a non-swinging couple) - so be yourself and your qualities will shine through.
Watch how you go if your partner is 'not here' though - it can drive a wedge in a number of ways.

i am a single guy and i have definatly not experianced the "single guy syndrom" sounds like a disease.....
People apreciate hoensty in regards to if they are Male or Female or in my case chickens and sheep. rolleyes

Excellent advice there Wibbly...... the only other thing i can add.... is relax and enjoy the site.... dont worry about any supposed lack of experience, or fears about performance.. its all about having fun.... and if you're worrying... you wont be having fun at all.... so mellow out and join in the forum and the chatroom.... get to know people and i hope you find what you're looking for.....

Thanks, I figured that - fortunately I'm past the age where I was uncomfortable with myself, but part of the "fun" and the intimidation here is that it took a lot longer than I expected to actually work out and see where my sexual development is leading me. Talk about a man led by his, well, not heart biggrin

. So, no reasons to obscure myself, at least not any more.
